we are about 10 bajillion times more hostile then those little fungis
i think this is really cool!!!
fungi are very interesting. I remember paul staments mentioning these types of fungi in his tedtalk '6 ways mushrooms can save the world' - which i reallllllly recommend. Apparently they can be really affective at getting rid of termites and similar problems in your house
I've also heard about similar fungi that infiltrate the ants mind like this, and make them climb to the top of grass so that they can be eaten up by the animals that graze there..why they do this, i forget
most though seem to take a more Buddhist non-invasive approach and live off of dead matter...i remember mckenna saying that it sort of made vegetarianism look like an orgy of mass death in comparison. hehehheh

Actually it was larvae that burrowed to the ants brain and told them to climb up high, so that cattle would eat the ants and the larvae could then dine on the ever so delicious liver tissue of the cattle. But fascinating stuff anyway.
