Bark to water ration

What kind of bark(mhrb) to water ratio do y'all use? I've always used 100g and 1500ml. But I was thinking that if I reduce the amount of water then I would have to use as much base, so now I use 1200ml. I haven't seen any negative consequences of it. How about y'all?

If you used less and have no problem with layer separation due to mix being too thick, then go for it...

I've used as much as 200g of powdered bark in 650ml of water. It gets a little thick at that point but still worked fine, just make sure you mix it well because it can get clumpy. If you add salt per Cyb's tek it helps quite a bit with any emulsions that would have formed. You'll also probably have to do a few more solvent pulls to make sure you get all of the goodies.

The amount of water you use is not as important as getting the right Ph. As long as you can mix in your solvent and separate it, your fine.

650 to 200 worked okay? That would seem a little to thick to me. Hm. I was thinking your yeilds would be less if you added more bark. I dunno.

How would your yield be less if you added more bark? If anything it would be more.

There are extraction teks called "dry teks" which use very little water. Like I said Ph is the important part. As long as you get a good mix with your solvent and can separate it off you are fine just do what works best for you.
