Best source for 5-meo-dmt

Migrated topic.
good to seeya here too chaucer... id say bufo toads, but thats not a plant source.. some phalarises are rich, but a pita to extract... best of luck.

Hi, nit-picking: Bufo toad [i:57f55b5883]venom[/i:57f55b5883] , which is collected by "milking" the toad and drying (just to avoid confusion and possibly save a toad or a person from the press-hype of "toad-licking") see these interesting yet hard-to-find archived documents: Bufo alvarius - Colorado River Toad Sonoran Desert Toad http://www.erowid.org/archive/sonoran_desert_toad/ott.htm If you can get your hands on a copy of Ott's [i:57f55b5883]Ayahuasca Analogs[/i:57f55b5883] there's a list of of plants that are known to contain DMT and/or 5-MeO-DMT, but Ott makes a *special note* that many of these plants contain [b:57f55b5883]additional alkaloids[/b:57f55b5883] of [b:57f55b5883][i:57f55b5883]unknown toxicity[/b:57f55b5883][/i:57f55b5883] so make sure you know what you're getting into if you try extracting from any of these plants! The following are listed as containing substantial amounts of 5meo-dmt: Pilocarpus organensis 1.06% alkaloid, "mostly 5-MeO-DMT" Melicope leptococca mit 0.21% 5-MeO-DMT in the leafy twigs. but Melicope leptococca contains 8 additional alkaloids of unknown toxicity and the genus Pilocarpus is [b:57f55b5883]known[/b:57f55b5883] to in general contain the highly toxic amidazol alkaloid [i:57f55b5883]pilocarpin[/i:57f55b5883]! These plants are listed as containing only 5-meo-dmt and not dmt (but this might mean that they weren't checked for dmt. also, who knows what other (poisonous) alkaloids they contain! see warning above!): Desmodium racemosum (wholeplant) Iryanthera ulei (bark) Dictyoloma incanescens (bark) Dutaillyea drupacea (leaves) Dutaillyea oreophila (leaves) Evodia rutaecarpa (fruit) Shulgin reports in [i:57f55b5883]TiHKAL[/i:57f55b5883] that some specimen of Virola theiodora contain some dmt and mostly 5-meo-dmt whereas other specimen contain mostly dmt and some 5-meo-dmt. He further reports that the alkaloids in virola rufula root and bark to consist of approx. 95% 5-meo-dmt. Shulgin reports the dried toad venom as containing 15% 5-meo-dmt in addition to n-methyl-5-methoxytryptamine, 5-meo-nmt, and bufotenine (5-oh-dmt). -z

The evodia can be purchased in chinese herb stores for much better prices than you'd pay at a enth vendor. I think it might be kinda a pain to extract though. I also just read that Anadenanthera Peregrina roots are a very rich source and have been measured at .678% 5-meo with like .001 % dmt. I'm surprised vendors don't even offer the roots.
