This brings up an obvious question: Where does all the white powder cocaine go if not to Coca-Cola? It turns out that this cocaine is sold to a St. Louis company called Mallinckrodt Incorporated.

Mallinckrodt receives not only all the cocaine from the Coca-Cola imports, but also imports opium from India (Mallin - Wikipedia...). In addition, this company also buys THC extracted from marijuana grown in the United States. So much for the War on Drugs, huh? It turns out if you buddy up to the DEA and federal regulators, you can make all the cocaine you want while buying opium and marijuana by the ton -- as long as you're a powerful corporation with ties to Coca-Cola and other wealthy organizations.

Terrible article, terrible journalism. 1/3 loose fact, 2/3 conjecture... Interesting nevertheless, but is there a credible source reporting this?

It wouldn't surprise me if some - (almost nil!) went for medical use, the rest for the politicians and other top dogs!!, etc...
 
One of the medical uses for cocaine is actually a very intriguing one. My dad who was a surgeon (and claims to have never taken any drugs in his life) would sometimes have to use cocaine on patients in the ER some 20 years ago. When patients would come in with deviated septoms (sp?) often from doing too much cocaine, the surgeons would actually use cocaine to seal the nasal cavity in some kind of twisted irony. Not sure if it's common practice today, but fascinating nonetheless.
 
I always wondered what they did with all that cocaine. Interesting to see someone follow up on it.

Kidding of course, cocaine is terrible problem in the world today and this is just yet another example of the ludicrous hypocrisy of the system we are living under.
 
Cocaine is still used as a topical anesthetic and there is no reason why Mallinckrodt Incorporated couldn't sell these 333kg/year worldwide for medical use, in which
case this amount would be quite reasonable.
 
Cocaine is only a terrible problem because it's illegal, and usually very poorly made. Fishscale cocaine is euphoric, blissful, and positive- not the edgy crap on the streets out there that makes nice people turn into nasty selfish idiots.

Not to be a spoilsport, but isn't talk about conspiracy theories on this site against the rules now? Maybe I just think conspiracy when I hear bilderberg lol.

Also, as for cocaine going to medical use... can't cocaine be chemically turned (synth? i don't know the technical chemical term) into topical agents such as benzocaine or novacaine? IDK how cocaine works chemically (besides in your nose of course! :twisted: )
 
Topical cocaine solutions are used by ENT specialists still, but less so than before.Another use for cocaine drops, again not used so much these days, is in the diagnosis of the cause of assymetrical pupils.The differing responses of the pupils to cocaine is very useful in establishing where the 'denervation hypersensitivity' is located.

There is also this Red Bull Cola with de-cocainated coca leafs in it (or at least there was). So, there must be some sort of loophole. I guess "Intent" plays a role here, but im just guessing.

one can easily clean cocaine hcl with anhydrous acetone. Be ready for a loss (impurities only)

That will get you fishscale, it's still a monster though. The nice is nicer, the low is the same.

Legalize all drugs.... in the name of population control
 
Even cleaning cocaine HCL with anhydrous acetone doesnt remove a contaminant put in at the site of manufacture called levamisole-a veterinary de-wormer which has been found ine the coke in many countries for about a decade.

Is also debatable whether or not freebasing the C Hcl properly (or just making crack)removes it, but the 'net' concensus seems to be that it remains..Its bad stuff and can cause alot of potential physical problems.I believe it takes some chemical knowledge and equipment to separate it out.
