Can't breakthrough anymore?

Has anyone else here gone through periods where they weren't able to breakthrough? It's been about 5 months since i was last able to breakthrough to hyperspace. As each day passes i miss hyperspace more and more.

From what i can remember my journeys started becoming weaker till i was no longer breaking-through and having little to no closed eye visuals. This all started after having a terrifying experience with 80mg freebase smoked with a bong, as soon as i exhaled i felt something i had never felt before on my previous trips with DMT. I don't really know how to describe it, but instead of my eyes being forced shut they were forced open & I felt/looked completely alien.

I thought it was because of my excessive use(about everyday for 2 months), so i took a 4 month break and started back on April 1st hoping to finally visit hyperspace again. But of course i was still not able to get there. This made me start wondering why i wasn't able to breakthrough again & the first thing i thought of was the bad trip i had with 80mg. Could this be the reason i am having having trouble breaking-through? Would facing a very high dose(80-100mg) possibly resolve this?

This sounds totally normal. The spice is not predictable. If you think it is, I am sure you will probably be surprised in one way or another down the line. That seems to be it's nature. It never seems to fractalize a shooting star neuron sequence passed the same area of the blood brain barrier. Now what if we could map that?

For people who are just not getting there, I always recommend experimenting with basic things like prior exposure to darkness for a while before going in, holding all of their hits in and clearing their bowls of course, as the spice melts and saturates to the bottom- and not burning it of course. 20 seconds is a good range to go for each inhalation in my opinion. Some meditation prior to vaporization aids in slowing the breath and heart rate thus calming the mind.

With these down, if you are still not satisfied, experiment with synergy. I personally have always gone "deeper" with synergistic combos than just straight N,N- sober to hyperspace in 60 seconds flat. That method is not one I would recommend. For example, I like to dose LSD, then a few hours later drink ayahuasca, then when that kicks in smoke a dose of N,N-. The results are ... inarticulatable. That's my advice. Keep up the explorations.

I've never had the problem of not being able to breakthrough, but I've had extremely "grounded" breakthroughs before where the experience is quite of this realm. As house pointed out, holding in your hits for awhile is necessary. I know a lot of people don't recommend it, but in my experience with DMT I think it's perfectly acceptable to use the "smoalk moar" advice. If you're not satisfied with the breakthroughs DMT can offer at the 50-60mg range, keep your psychedelic allies in mind.

LSD and DMT is quite lovely and a complete synergistic combination. Psilocybin mushrooms and freebase DMT is also a great combination.

Also, I know a lot of people praise using bongs to smoke spice, but in my experience it does not hold a flame to vaporizers. Vaporize your spice, and if you don't go to hyperspace with 50mg of material(I am confident you will breakthrough at this dose) up the dose by 5mg until you do. Practice your smoking method, and remember to vaporize!

I will defiantly start experimenting with exposure to darkness & i plan on trying psilocybin/smoked DMT in the near future. When i manage to breakthrough again i will be posting a trip report.

YES!! combinations work wonders for me!

Mushrooms and mescaline are my two favs!!

Darkness helps a lot too. I usually always sit in the dark for a while before. Especially since the hallucinations are always made of light energy. Its easier to see when it gets started.
