i humbly request any help with my recent extraction with cybs max ion. i have made many successful extractions with nomans but would like a more pure result as well as yield. i am also excited and amazed at the science of it all but have come to a bit of a emotional let down because i cannot seem to get my ph higher than 11ph max sometimes back down to 10.5ph. i even have went through an immensley large amount of lye with no help or change for the most part it makes no sense and i dont know what to do?? Does anyone understand or know what i am doing wrong or what i am missing and not understanding??

Benzine and naphtha are but two names for a range of petroleum distillates typically consisting principally of volatile, liquid, saturated hydrocarbons and not being oils, waxes or tars.

Do you prefer ph strips over the meters? If so, why? Wondering for my future endeavors. I can see it being simpler since there's 0 need for any calibration.

^This is important enough to bear repeating. Some aspects of extraction have the potential to cause risk to life, limb and/or property. If you feel tired, secure whatever it is you're doing and take an appropriate amount of rest. Do not leave heated pans unattended. Do not perform extractions while intoxicated.

My PH meter pisses me off, hence my curiosity about the strips.
I have thought about getting a higher quality meter, but am not ready to make the investment either .
And yeah, pretty sure bestine is just heptane. Have been thinking about trying it out once I run out of naphtha (which will be a while).

yes bestine is basically(to my ignorance lol) 99 or 100 percent heptane. now to be honest the only reason i use or am aware is because i live in sunny california lol. So unless someone would like to help me with a CURRENT place or nps in california this is all i could find. now when i started out i was using nowmans tek and i got about the average yield but notice the quality was much better then the local spices i tried with a nice clean after eeffect of my intial take off or blast of a couple minutes. i also ALWAYS got white clean product never recryst. i have been attempting cybs max ion and have had nothing but trouble and low yields if any but i realized i was not evaping before freeze but read wasnt a big deal and since i never have with nowmans i didnt with cybs. i am doing a extract as we speak and thanks to fellow members i am and will evap and see where i may have gone wrong!? i aslo read that for recryst heptane is better or best which leaves me to wonder what pros and cons aside from price and availability naptha and "bestine" rubber cement thinner have in common. oh and NO DISRESPECT, i am aware of lighter fluid as a nps and im GOOD. SMH ..AS IN I DONT WANT TO USE! 
You can purchase bestine from arts or some hardware stores for about a dub a quart and 2 dubs for a gallon from walmart online which is best price i have found. most places online are aware of limited resources so tax and are honestly in the market to lure in people like myself who are in a akward position per location. i hear and understand napatha can be got for like 15 a gallon!? lucky yall!? ..but like i said bestine has its similarities to nahptha as i am sure its differences just not sure what they are so if anyone knows would like to share and or find out i am sure there will be knowledge to gain for all or on both sides! let me in!!?? lol You are ALL welcome as i am thankful!!
