Cleaning agar from flask

Migrated topic.

Does anyone have experience removing congealed agar from the inside of an Erlenmeyer flask? I've tried running a cycle through the dishwasher and soaking in alcohol and vinegar and there are still blobs of agar all around the upper part of the flask. I won't need to pour anymore agar for a while and need my flask clean so I can use it to mix basic solutions.

conc. Sulfuric acid and conc. H2O2 will remove anything organic from any labware you want.
That is dangerous advice. "Piranha acid" can react explosively with organic residues and is among the top causes for lost eyes, fingers or indeed lives in the chemistry lab.

This is not trivial.
