Cold and Flu tips/tricks!

Migrated topic.
I'm typically defined as "underweight" as well. In reviewing the old books by such as Dewey and Shelton as well as modern stuff by the likes of Joel Fuhrman it really caught my attention that all authors mention that after a fast not only do underweight people easily regain the weight but if it was a prolonged fast they will regain more than they lost, and keep it. When that happened to Upton Sinclair he intentionally made himself fat just to baffle and amuse his friends  And his longest fast was just 12 days.

I dont know about insulin. Everyone should be slow and gentle in breaking a fast, but I'm not sure how diabetics go about it.
Certainly one should read up on it before fasting more than 24 hours

Ah yes, good old black seed. I've been taking it in oil form twice daily with a little honey. Is there an advantage of using the ground seed as opposed to oil? (besides price?) I always assumed the oil was more effective because of more concentrated amounts of thymoquinone.

There's no substantial difference besides concentration. The ground up matter may contain more nutrients/minerals? I've yet to utilize the black seed in oil form. I notice improvements from the ground up seeds/honey, so I'm sure others can experience similar benefits, too. :) Another aspect to be aware of is the fact that thymoquinone has synergistic activity with other compounds within black seed. So purely taking thymoquinone, or in a concentrated form, may present not as much benefits?

Be well.

Makes sense and seems wise to think holistically when it comes to taking therapeutic herbs.

Bancopuma- That golden milk recipe is very similar to the recipe I use, except I add a little vanilla as well. It tastes good!
