Combining Amanita and Psilocybin

I'm curious if anyone has experience combining amanita and psilocybin mushrooms? I have a fair amount of experience with psilocybin, and an abundance of different (cubensis) varieties tucked away in my kitchen cabinet, but have become increasingly resistant to taking any as I've come to associate tripping on psilocybin with mental turbulence/agitation.

I've been feeling increasingly burnt out and depressed during the workweek, which I know from experience that mushrooms can help with in a direct and immediate way, leading me to this inquiry. Additionally, I don't want my stash going to waste, as I doubt they will last forever.

I'm thinking of combining the cubensis and amanita mushrooms, as I find (low dose) amanita to be be reliably calming and grounding, which I presume could help me go deeper with psilocybin, thereby getting more of the rejuvenating/antidepressant effects I am wanting and needing. Reports on reddit seem mostly positive, and I am curious to hear from people here.

My thinking is to maybe have 0.5-1g of amanitas, followed an hour later by around 500mg of cubensis mushrooms (or extract equivalent). Anecdotal reports suggest potentiation of psilocybin with this combo, so I don't want to go too high on the dosage, in order to prevent the type of white-knuckle experience I've come to associate with mushroom tripping.

I've tried local liberty caps with low doses of amanita a few times. I'd say they combine well together. I can't comment on different species of magic mushrooms, though.
From what I remember, I had a stronger journey that went a bit deeper. Local Amanitas always add a bit of a darker feel to the trip. It's not bad in any way, more like there is even more mystery in the air. Last time I did it with a friend who was in a very bad psychological state, and I felt a clear protection vibe from Amanita. This combo gave me lots of visions of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. I was sitting on a carpet and it became an oriental tapestry of different god images. It could be that my fascination with Hindu imagery came from there. I'd try it again for sure.

Thanks for sharing about your experience. That sounds really encouraging and definitely makes me even more excited to try this combo.

Yeah... me too...

A very valid concern, but they will last longer than you may expect when stored properly.

I like your philosophy and it makes me want to join you... will report back at some point next weekend when I try it.

Now, I am going to pull out these zapotecorums I have. And the Caerulescens. These varieties seem easier for me to handle nowadays. And maybe getting into these ones more will help me to soften towards to cubes again.

For sure, I’ve noticed that they last a pretty long time when stored well. I have one batch that’s from around three years ago and another batch+ from 1-2 years ago. I’m sure they’re all still active, at this point, and wouldn’t expect too much in the way of diminished effects. However, if I continue to virtually never touch them, I presume that eventually their potency will degrade, over time, which I want to start getting ahead of, especially knowing the healing power they hold.

We’ll see how it goes, but I have a good feeling about this combination. What I am hoping/looking for is a more serene, lucid, visionary/mystical type of journey, as opposed to the tripping ballz while hanging on for dear life type of experience I have come to know and dread.

Ooo I’ve always wanted to try some other psilocybin mushrooms varieties. Keep us posted about how those go for you!

That's high dose cubensis. Liberty caps are gentle, loving, and mystical in comparison. With rue it is amazing, minus my own opinion that it gets too heavy on the nervous system (something that is true for all species of psilocybin mushroom combined with rue, most likely). I said it before, I believe amanita is the true "caapi/rue" of mushrooms, and it's combination with psilocybin mushrooms likely feels very natural, harmonious, and has a lot of potential. I don't know if I will get to experience this recipe in my lifetime. Please share your experiences if you get to do it.
