No, that's Cthulhu's cousin, Randy. Given the tentacle he's using, I wonder if he's kindly moving the biker to the clear bike lane there
Randy is nicer than I. I still should've tossed the guy on the scooter to the proper side of the street.

This is somewhat moot isn't it. It's not us lil folk you need to share this with, but rather those that have implemented the current cultural state we find ourselves in, so governments and corporations. Some people just prefer road biking over trail biking. But if it's tech bros we're talking about, you may yet persuade me to feed them to the local wildlife - just not for reasons of their choice of leisure transport.

Now, how much might we acheive if the price of the average gas guzzler were spent on the local economy or foreign aid instead? Surely a road bike costs peanuts by comparisonā¦
)And yes, but the point is there are areas in which this is more dangerous for them and so they are making a choice to put themselves in harms way and impede the flow of traffic. People can vent their frustration about that without being admonished for it.Some people just prefer road biking over trail biking.
Othering of people riding bicycles is a specific bugbear of mine, it's certainly nothing personal and I still maintain the utmost respect for @ommani - to the extent that I'd like to challenge an anti-cycling mindset whenever it arises since it has the potential to endanger both me personally and those closest to me, however indirectly. This is somewhat moot isn't it. You're still hung up on a joke that was to express frustration not advocate for anything in reality (I'm not actually a Kraken)
Theyāre not just putting themselves in harms way

How dare they!
So, it's OK for them to ride a bike just as long as they don't get in your way? And you don't see the potential problem with that viewpoint? I get that it's a difficult shift of cognitive gears from a perspective of a hopelessly car-centric cultureā¦
One thing I'd like to clarify is just how suitable any of the bike paths might be for road bikes. Anything other than mirror-smooth asphalt is clearly unacceptable
It's interesting you want to talk down to him and insult his intelligence while strawmanning and missing the point yourself. So, it's OK for them to ride a bike just as long as they don't get in your way? When searching the word "violence" on the Attitude Page, only one is found and it mentions serious violence and for the chat.Do we really need reminding again that even joking about imaginary violence goes against the Nexus attitude?

Um, nope - this is road bikes we're talking about and they wouldn't last five minutes on a hiking trail so leave it out with your whataboutism.then those same bicycle drivers drive like animals on hiking paths,
You clearly haven't heard my trumpet playing - if you had, you'd be advocating throwing me into the ravine with the mountain lions@Transform

Uhm, joke's on you, I very much enjoy the trumpet and would relax even further if someone were to play it for me while I'm chilling on the sofa.
All that is to say, I think this is long past getting out of hand. Let's cool off a bit, take a sip of water, do some breathwork, look at some trees in real life, and remind ourselves that we're all in the same boat.![]()
Hey, they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder...or in your case, perhaps in the ruptured eardrum of the poor beholderYou clearly haven't heard my trumpet playing - if you had, you'd be advocating throwing me into the ravine with the mountain lions![]()
