Contained Road Rage: Driving Stories

I literally thought people were putting up tents on the highway, and for some reason this didn't surprise me in the slightest. I don't know what that says about the way I imagine America, but I don't think it's on the positive side of the spectrum :D
It's not out of the ordinary to see homeless encampments in the vicinity of many highways in this state.

People have been known to set up encampments on larger traffic roundabouts in the UK as well, particularly when there's enough room for dense shrubbery or even a small patch of woodland.
