Definition of Aya vs Pharma

To me, harmalas feel very protective. I'm seriously considering combining them with other psychedelics when I have again something other than DMT+harmalas.
Firstly, thank you for such a fine reply. I feel harmalas to be protective too. They are very anxiolytic and calm me down better than anything.
I found them after my first bad trip on local mushrooms and somehow ended up working with them for 10 years. I think this medicine literally saved my life.
Some days, my mood has been very unstable due to lack of sleep and a stressful situation. In those days, I've felt like I can't stand myself, kind of out of control, and my usual centering practices don't work well (or I'm unable to make them work). 200mg of harmalas fully stop all that, and leave my mood balanced and much more calm.
I can attest to this effect myself. Like you, I've leveled my state of mind a number of times with rue.
Whenever I feel some imbalance in my system, I tend to turn to rue, and it helps each time.
❤️

Ah yes, I forgot about that. The case in France specifically looked very much like religious persecution, as if I recall correctly it was made to target Santo Daime (but also affecting every user of the substance).
Here is the text (in french) from 2005 who bans ayahuasca or analogue plants and harmalas alkaloïds. The curious fact is that even if it is banned in France, we can get rue on french legal websites, some even propose to pick it up at the shop's counter. I think as long as it doesn't lead to public order disturbance, street mess or public health problems it is not very watched.

Rue growing in infinite amounts all over the country I live in, I have no problem obtaining the seeds 😊
This year I may be able to pick some seeds, it grows in certain areas here. How long do you consider the seeds keep fresh, in the sense that you can perceive the differences you mentioned?
Speaking of reddit, I was banned for no reason. I should be able to get this resolved, but I've been procrastinating on making my case.
You managed to escape! Enjoy your freedom from it! 🤣

@blig-blug, if stored in cool darkness, for about two months you can tell it is more special than seeds stored for longer. But the less time passes, the more special it is. I would preserve the state it is in the first day of harvest if I could. This year I will try vacuum packing and storing in fridge as soon as harvesting, hoping that these extra measures will prevent degrading from the original state. Harvest when the capsules open, no earlier. Later is fine, it transforms but preserves the fresh magic. If it gets subjected to rain, it starts weakening slowly but is still usable for a while. Finally, make sure you harvest from the driest habitat possible. I learned the hard way that plants that have an abundance of water and/or humidity during the summer produce pitifully weak seeds.

I deleted my Facebook account a few years ago, and now every time I try to open a new one, they disable it within 12 hours.
So I'm out for good 🥳

With rue being prolific in Islamic culture, I see no problem obtaining it in Europe :ROFLMAO:
When I see it, I buy it. Doesn't matter that I have probably more than a lifetime's supply. Also, I have a couple of promising-looking young plants that seem to be happy sharing a pot with an amaryllis. The compost gnats have disappeared since the rue started growing, too…

Wow, a live rue plant. That's quite an achievement!

Oh My God Wow GIF

I'm keeping my fingers crossed here - my last attempt got destroyed by a storm downburst! And in the middle of summer, too. If these beauties survive through 'til next spring and beyond, it will be great. Some pics of flowering rue (alongside some lovely Pedros) that @Jagube posted were a massive inspiration in this direction.

Harvesting my own rue seed has become a bit of a holy grail to look forward to.

However, German wikipedia helpfully points out that "Betelgeuse" is itself wrong due to a transcription error out of the Arabic ( يد الجوزاء ) - it's actually "yad al-ǧauzā", meaning "hand of the giant", but somebody overlooked a diacritic that distinguishes 'b' from 'y' - while discreetly failing to mention that in German it's even more wrong.
يد الجوزاء actually means "hand of the Gemini(twin)", not sure if my search was accurate but I saw that Betelgeuse is in Orion and Gemini is next to it, so it kinda makes sense but still confusing. Maybe a mistake in associating the arabic names to the wrong stars.

@Sakkadelic, I have two experiences with stems and leaves; if I had thought it's worthy I would have done it much more. They are harsh and don't have the magic of the seeds. Neither do the roots.
Speaking of stems/leaves, my indoor grown plants there have a remarkably coffee-like scent which sticks to the fingers for a short while after stroking the leaves. Naturally, this leaves me wondering whether the plant is producing similar aroma compounds (pyrazines?) to those responsible for the scent of roasted coffee beans (and also bacon - hmmm…)

if my family didn't unearth it
tangential footnote, 'unearth' ≠ 'dig up' - it is a phrase more often used metaphorically to mean 'discover' or 'rediscover', e.g., "the nation reeled with shock as new evidence of kikker's hidden influence was unearthed". ;)

The roots are the best part. If you have a plant, go for those.
That's very much a one-hit wonder with the amount of space I have available for rue plants (i.e. not very much).

On a side note, does any know if properly organic-certified rue seeds are available? That might open up some possibilities.

Lol they trashed it but fortunately rue doesn't care so much. It's not so much their fault as it disappears every winter and they forget it's there. I've seen it bushier and flowering previous years but my family had to leave for a long period and most of the plants died so it was a rough year.

Previously I used the dead stems in a smudge stick but gifted it to someone and never tried it myself.
