Been doing this for a few months now .
This is the first time i've achieved crystal structures.
Question: The yellow globs in the back ground, is that normal.Is it all good.Should it not all be pure crystals?
I'm quite proud of it:thumb_up:

I used 360g mimosa, which gave me 6.2g.
I then added 1.5g of old spice (not the aftershave) and washed the whole lot in hexane.
I ended up with 5.2g of crystals (in the pics) and a heap of yellow/orange slag.

so i'm wondering if extracting from larger amounts of material gives crystal formation an advantage for a noob
mines not doing too bad. the tango bit certainly fits the bill, smells nice though, like bubble gum..

Mine dosnt smell...
I think the key to crystals is "Hexane"
Its expensive so i just wash with it but next time ill pull and wash with it.

I'd disagree. I've grown some sexy crystals using nothing but naphtha. Hexane and heptane work as well, but I wouldn't call them the key.

Yup. You will get larger and more developed crystalline structures with less surface area.

Mine dosnt smell...

Interesting. You aren't the first people I've seen who say their DMT doesn't smell, but all the DMT I have ever extracted has a distinct indole smell, even after multiple re-x. I wonder why some DMT doesn't have an odor...

Previously i've washed with "powerfuel" which is a mixture of naphtha and heptane, its cleaner than stand alone naphtha. This was my first wash with Hexane (hard to get ahold of in these parts) and bingo ,crystals.
Other than using 4000ml of water than my usual 4400ml , i did nothing different, so i attributed the crystals down to the Hexane.
I am still new to all of this, so i dont know jack sh*t really :lol:
As for the smell, i cant explain that at all. Although if you smoke it, the smell is there.
