Did i mess up?

This is an extract from the freezer about four hours ago. When i took it out it had the usual white crystals with yellow swirly bits, but also had this redness to it. I used a meter and took the base mixture to 13.7

Have i gone too far? I think this will be all night to sort out into something scrapeable.

It smells yummy, like imagination.

This is mimosa hostillis, using lye/naptha. Dont know any otther teks, not very good at chemistry. I've been using the dylon stuff before, but this is from MHRB.

Still drying up, glad to see some crystals have come back although dark red. Could this be the fabled red DMT the old heads speak of, or have i just screwed up?

I would guess that you pulled some of the aqueous solution along with your nonpolar solvent. Personally, I would recrystallize, but it's your call.

On an unrelated note: I have heard you mention this "dylon stuff" multiple times on the forum. Can you explain what you are referring to please?

Yes I'm with Entheogenerator ,, except I'd say you've pulled quite a lot of base soup in the nps pulls and that's what is melting

you're crystals ,, next time you pull be very meticulous about pulling cleanly and even filter before putting nps in you're precipe

Well, SWIM REMOVED powdered MHRB and when it arrived it was Leather Dye manufactured by Dylon. Pure powdered MHRB by all intents and purposes, just the commercial manufactured name of it.

I rarely pull any of the soup when extracting,but I find it is much better to do a sodium carbonate wash or even just a plain water wash to the napthta right after pulling.

This way even if you get a little soup in your pull it will mix with the S.C and water and the clean napthta will float on top for easy removal. Then put it in the freezer for precip.

ok, some ratios would be awesome. SC to 02 to naptha would be good, id say i've got about 30ml of naptha. Thanks for the remidy, apreceate the help.

With the sodium carbonate you only need a small pinch between your fingers should be enough.I usually use equal amount of water as the amount of naphta I am cleaning.

Synthetic DMT had appeared to me, as fat, wet, cylindrical red crystals. Came out of an infamous Portland college chem lab some 25 years ago when I saw it.

Thanks Null, Cognition. Wondering if i should give my whole stash the same clean. I have heptane available, planning on making fumerate. But thats SWIM's quest. I'll post more images, unless it's not reccomended.

ok, got it all up and into some glass as suggested. Think it worked, but now i'm confused as i still have cloudy naptha, i want that right? just most of the time when i extract the naptha, itt's yellow/clear. I think somethings wrong, i added too much lye.

Naphtha becomes cloudy when it is more thoroughly saturated. I would recommend that you follow up your sodium carbonate wash with distilled water washes, as suggested in Vovin's tek. This will remove any traces of sodium carbonate that are left behind.

In addition, I recommend doing your sodium carbonate and distilled water washes at room temperature rather than heating the solution at all.
