Disappointing first time: is the experience any more than the mind giving meaning to fractal images?

DMT seems connected to sapient consciousness, not necessarily human. Therefore I'm not going to receive any insight into my personal psyche or find solutions to my complex "roadblocks". This is a realm to only peek into. It'll shake you up, not settle you.

That's a fascinating perspective and seems to gel with some of the things I've heard about it.

in that it revealed to me through an experience that i am intrinsically connected to a source that it much greater than the self i claim to be me ...

That really does sound like an experience worth having even if it's just once in one's life.

Jess: Likewise, that well/connection is why I'm here looking into this, thanks again for the input. I don't know who's right in that 1 or 2 stuff, I've been thinking a lot about that since you raised it. Perhaps the answer can change depending on the person, or on the stage of their life, or whether the aim of life is to be happy and in equanimity ... or something else. Whatever the case, I hope I'll find out one day, not in an intellectual way but through real experience. Wish me luck

The glass VG is superior ime. Also with using the glass vg, it's a very superior method to reliably not burn it in any way. You'll get the dosage you put in there 9/10, no funny business ime.

I'm not keen on waste in general so I'm going to do this, I really appreciate the practical advice. I assume the glass vg is the sherlock and not the glass bat.

You will KNOW when you get it 'on the money', ..lol ..you will know. Everything else can seem 'much less than expected' for some ppl. There's a very ...very distinct difference when you get it right. Make no mistake there.

Not sure about answers. For me personally, I think those heavy experiences really made me stop and think what it was that I was actually plunging myself into.. It is no joke when you get it right my friend.

It's very sobering to read this and others similar posts. I'm a bit nervous but I think there's only one way to find out, I'll just wait for the right time and circumstances to appear and perhaps investigate Mesc in the meantime. Did you still do DMT much more after having these experiences?

CE, yes it's the Sherlock GVG.
You have to put in a liquid pad of sorts, a dot of copper chore boy works nice. Or a ceramic stone, or the VG liquid pad (but that one is a huge one to heat up). Lots of GVG posts to find on the nexus.
