Hi
I'm hoping someone can give me some storage advice. Both DMT and harmalas were extracted a few weeks ago.
DMT is currently stored as solid fumarate salt, in a sealed container in the fridge.
Harmalas are stored as aqueous citrate (did not measure the exact amount of citric acid - pH is ~2-3) in a sealed glass container in the fridge.
I had some questions for long-term storage of these 2 substances:
- Should I dissolve the fumarate in water?
- Should I add some alcohol as a preservative/to prevent bacterial growth? (the harmala extract is fairly concentrated, so even if I were to dilute to 50% ABV, the amount per dose would be insignificant)
- Should I store them in the freezer instead? (either after adding alcohol, in salt/crude extract form, or by adding e.g. CaCl2?)
