Idk...a friends brother accidentally fell and broke their arm on a high dose of Salvia once. To me that sounds like an example of a bad experience, no?
I've also seen people enter highly delusional/psychosis states before on mushrooms or lsd, and have dipped into them for a few minutes myself before (I need to avoid cannabis on the comeup). I differentiate between those types of experiences and merely a difficult experience.
Sure a lot of experiences people describe as "bad" are really just more aptly defined as difficult, but bad doesn't mean evil, and I think there's a wide spectrum here. Sometimes a train wreck experience can happen, and feel more like a step back than a step forward, or even hours of purgatory. So I don't have an issue with referring to those as, generally speaking, a bad experience. But with smoked DMT it's so short-lived that it's generally not as big of an issue anyways
