Maybe a month or 2 ago, I decided to get an E-Mesh device. I had a little prior experience with a DMT Cartridge that wasn't extremely harsh. I managed to find an original Vandy Vape RDA with both 304 and 316 SS, and paired it with the Geekvape Aegis Solo 3.
I've got some synthetic DMT that I reasonably trust it's purity. It's turned yellowish as time has passed, though at first it was a beautiful white powder. However, everytime I try to use it, it is extraordinarily harsh and makes me cough at any amount above hitting the firing button for 2 seconds. If I turn down the temperature, or use wattage mode, it reduces the harshness, but I hardly get anything out of the hit, so I can only assume it's just my DMT?
I ran it though a sodium carbonate wash while dissolved in DCM. Though it might've not been the perfect method, I would've thought it would do something? Perhaps my chemistry knowledge isn't up to snuff, maybe someone could help there.
My only other evidence is the shear amount of black (assuming carbon?) residue left on the mesh after use. The DMT doesn't taste burnt normally (though I can definitely smell and taste it burning if I turn the temperature up). Anyone think this could be contamination?
I also tried giving my friend a hit as well, and it made him cough just the same. I know it's not just the heat of the airflow, as we can smoke other things like cannabis.
