DMT vaporizer options

Hi all!

I'm preparing for my first DMT extraction. I have just about everything I need, except for a vape cartridge. Sadly, they are illegal in Australia, but I may be able to source one soon.

This entire situation made me re-evaluate the entire ingestion process. My original plan was to combine freebase DMT with PG and use it in a vape cartridge, but I also wanted to consider some alternatives. Note that ideally I would like to have the option to smoke 2 forms of DMT: pure crystals (which I may mix with PG and/or VG if needed) and DMT fumarate salts, just in case I have trouble finding the right solvent in the future (I have one now, but sourcing it was very difficult).

From what I understand, dry herb vaporizers are generally not recommended, however, I've also seen reports from people saying that they've successfully used some vaporizers. I'd love to understand more about it. I have access to vaporizers listed here and I was wondering if any of them could be appropriate. Some examples:
I suppose this choice should consider:
  • Safety (e.g. handling the device as you lose cognitive abilities)
  • Dosage (e.g. whiteout risks)
  • Versatility (e.g. if I have a cartridge with a 1:2 mixture, then I'm sort of committed to that mix, but if I have freebase, then it's easier to work with)
  • Handling multiple DMT forms (freebase and fumarate)
  • Longevity (e.g. cartridges are not meant to be durable, but perhaps these vapes might)

Would love to hear your feedback!

Thank you

I have the Geekvape legend 3 for sub ohm. I got it since Australia restricted vape products, you just need to register for the vape "pharmacies". Ridiculous but still got it fine. You can use tanks or emesh, you'd have to get emesh stuff from a certain Asian ebay, usually sold as different things like car parts etc.

I would get an RTA if going with juice, much easier to make good quality coils that last and are appropriate although tricky in Aus ATM but you can definitely find them on the above mentioned site.

Apologies, I'm new to all of this, so I have a few questions based on your response.
  1. I've found Geekvape Aegis Legend 3 here (Cheap Vapes AU), so it looks like I may be able to procure it. Would you recommend it? Is that a possible replacement for a vape cartridge + 510 thread battery combo? Also, I've looked into sub-ohm vaping and I don't really understand it, so if you think this part is important, I'd appreciate if you could expand on it!
  2. Based on my limited research into vape pharmacies, I got the impression that if I had medical cannabis prescribed to me by a doctor, then I would be able to get pre-filled cartridges, but that's not what I'm after. I didn't think there was a way to circumnavigate this system, but if you've found one, I'd appreciate it if you could share
Thanks again
