Hi,

I have no experience with vaporized spice, i only tasted it in dark brews. So i can only compare to Salvia.
I had a serious breakthrough on Salvia, and i was instantly at the peak, with no memory of smoking it.
Does it happen often on spice ? I find experiences where you know what your doing easier to enjoy because you can consciently let go. If you don't even remember that you are doing a voluntary experience, your ego instinctively struggles for survival and that left very little space for working.
But spice peak is maybe less "instantaneous" than what i experienced with salvia ?
I will be happy to hear your thoughts about that.

Love and light.

On most but the very highest doses of spice, I remember why I am there. Once I no longer know where I am, I am not confused by this as I become a euphoric mind with no earthly body, then I come down gradually.

Salvia leaves me twisted and confused and for me has more in common with waking up after not knowing you just passed out and fell on the floor. At first you think you are waking up from a strange dream, but once you touch reality I find all the peaces slip back together well enough, but I'm still left very disorientated. Whereas with DMT I'll either remain lying down with my eyes closed, big fat smile in tow, or just jump right up screaming "WOOOOOAAAH!!!" :)

When I read the title of your post, the first thought that instantly came to mind was: on spice - yes I remember; on salvia - even if you were holding a sign with SALVIA written in huge letters, I still probably wouldn't be able to tell you what I had just consumed. On salvia I'm lucky if I remember I even exist at all amidst the chaos.

@soulfood: that sounds great! i like that big fat smile. yummy yummy!
@gobalswg: i like your idea of a big sign with huge letters! ;-)

All in all, i looks like Salvia is a bit too dissociative and obliterating when smoked.
I can tell by reading your replies and different posts around here that vaporized spice is still a challenge, but probably more rewarding.
From the brewed spice i liked the feeling of being each time put slightly out of my comfort zone, witch allowed me to make this zone a little bit larger. It has a positive influence on everyday life, and it creates a relationship of confidence with the plant. I definitely want to use that confidence to explore vaporized spice, if our paths come to cross...

Thank you.
Others comments and experiences on the subject are still welcome ;-)

On salvia, my ego is almost always obliterated – I don’t know who or what I am, how I got to where I find myself, where I came from, how long I’ve been as I am, no memories of a past at all. There is still an “I”, but it is an I detached from everything. Under such circumstances, letting go seems to come quite naturally, since there are no memories of what was.

However, my most intense DMT experience left my ego perfectly intact. I thought I died. I knew I smoked DMT, and assumed that I died as the result of a heart attack or something. It was a very difficult experience, mainly because “I” was fully intact and perfectly, clearly aware of what was happening. I knew I wasn’t going back to my life, and I knew what I was leaving behind. The sense of loss was hard to deal with.

I’d also say that a vaporized DMT experience, where a full dose is inhaled in just a few seconds (possible with a GVG), is a much more “instantaneous” peak than I've ever had with salvia. Salvia is slow and gentle by comparison.

Gibran2, just out of curiosity, and of course if you can't remember or if it's too personal I'll understand, but aside of the thought of knowing you had died, what did death "look like" to you?

I talk about it here: My Death, part I and especially here: My Death, part II.

That experience was unlike any I had before or since. Visually, it began with a passage through a brilliantly white crystalline “space”, unlike any breakthrough I’d ever experienced. I don’t remember much about what I saw after that, but everything was clearer, more vivid, and more “substantial” than anything I’ve ever seen in my everyday reality. I remember seeing a room, and realizing that this room was my “eternal home” – the place where “I” stay outside of time. It was all very overwhelming.

I coincidentally read that report yesterday. I didn't even realize it was yours, or especially that experience altogether.
