dosage correlation- iv vs. vaped

Migrated topic.

During Dr. Strassman's clinical trials with he had broken down DMT into dosages of 0.2/0.3/0.4 mg/kg levels for his patients. It proved to be a pretty good way to measure low/mid/heavy experiences (subjective to the individual).

Does this measurement carry over to vaped dosages?

In other words, is 0.2mg/kg a good vaped dose to start at? Or would it be too little? Quite a few experienced explorers seem to vape 50mg+ for breakthrough experiences. For SWIM that would be over .8mg/kg! Which seems to be massive if administered IV like Strassman was doing.

SWIM is 130lbs/59kg, small guy (5'8") and very sensitive to everything. Just want to make sure he starts off lower and wants to know if mg/kg is a good way to gauge :)

Thanks!

It all depends on your smoking device and technique. If you had an ideal device and technique, then I think it’s reasonable to assume that a given dose inhaled in a given amount of time would have effects similar to the same dose administered IV over the same time period.

I’ve noticed that a given dose inhaled very quickly (one hit, 10 seconds) produces much stronger effects than the same dose inhaled in a more leisurely manner (for example, three hits each of 20 seconds duration).

(I recently had a 0.4mg/kg dose – 28mg – inhaled with a GVG in about 10 seconds and was propelled further than I have ever been before. A whole new level.)

I seriously believe that anyone who smokes 0.8mg/kg and has “average” breakthrough effects is wasting lots of spice.

SWIM has a hard time finishing 20mg (almost .3mg/kg), it gets him far into hyperspace
30mg (.45mg/kg) was very heavy and intense, he's only done that once.
He's also "smoked" 63mg with a light-bulb vaporizer and got effects less than that of 10mg (.15mg/kg)

His smoking device is a very simple "the machine" design with a test tube broken at the bottom with copper mesh to hold the spice.
Copper heated with the flame 2-3 inches below, though directly, not on the glass.

20mg's for me is a good moderate dose. 25-30mg gets me a little further. I can't physically smoke more than 35mg. It just gets rediculous and the apparatus ceases to exist as we know it. I'd surely have to IV to go higher, though I never have used that route of administration and probably never will.

I use the bong and ash method and I think I've got pretty good at it :)

I weigh 140lbs.

Thank you. Swim will start low ~10-15mg and see how it effects him. Will try and work on technique early on and work with what he has and take it from there.

Appreciate the input!

So on a similar note, will SWIM notice something significantly different when taking 30mg spice vs 50mg?

considering the difference between 20mg and 30mg was IMMENSE.

20mg was euphoric, mystical and extremely intense

30mg was wretchedly scary, timeless insanity and by far the most intense (albeit short) experience of SWIM's

SWIM's been working on "letting go" and he thinks he'll be able to experience a positive ~30mg experience eventually,

he really doesn't feel like trying 50mg.
it would likely be too intense to remember at that dose as well. Strausman recorded the dose increase/recall decrease trend.

Shit. Maybe I'm doing it "wrong"
