Has anyone used dry ice when grinding MHRB in a spice mill?
I've found the spice mill rapidly heats. I'm wondering if small block or granular dry ice would aid in cooling, and/or aid in cell lysing.

E.G: Put MHRB in grinding chamber. Aid dry ice. Grind.

In theory you could then leave the open grinder in a well extracted/open air area and the dry ice will sublimate out of the MHRB powder?

Previous use of dry ice during DMT extraction has focussed on removal of NMT through carbamate formation.

Your idea seems worth a try, provided you can rely on it not to develop a pressure buildup with subsequent blowing-out of bark powder when the pressure gets released.

Is this a method you've seen in use for any other materials?

Dry ice grinding is a well established method for many other materials organic and in-organic.

There is the hazard of pressure build-up, if not allowed to vent. Should you allow for intermittent venting however (which you do) it allows for essentially continuous grinding until reaching a truly powdered state in a much expedited manner.
