Emesh or dab pen with temperature setting?

I'm new to the community and am grateful for the acceptance. I was considering putting together an emesh to control the temperature but got to searching and there are devices to vap thc products with a set temperature available. Should I go through the trouble of building an emesh or just by a dab pen capable of setting the temperature at 200c? I have a lookah swordfish and tried .29 mg at the lowest setting of 3.5v but I'm thinking it burned too hot. Any advice is welcome.

I would like to suggest a third option and use a vape, and vape this, HIELO - DMT-Nexus Wiki

Read about it here Research - DMT salts for e-juice

This after having tried all methods including the ones that you mentioned this is the best.
Do you think the salt vape juice is "better" than the e-mesh method? I've only recently mixed some PG with freebase + citric acid, but I haven't tried it yet. In my past attempts with freebase juice, I've always thought that it works fine, but not better than the e-mesh

I agree with @Varallo that the DMT-citrate vape is quite palatable and even pleasant if you don’t mind the taste of spice.

Truthfully this is all a matter of preference. E-mesh is great for efficiently vaporizing bigger doses, and great for breaking through. A cannabis concentrate vaporizer, like a Yocan, or similar device you’ve described, will be less efficient, but also relatively easy to use (no assembly required). I have enjoyed using a Yocan Evolve Plus to vaporize freebase for sometime and enjoy many of the positives of this device.

Using a vape cartridge, you can freely titrate your dose. You don’t have to open up and reload your device, messing with delicate spice or a scale. You can be quite “enhanced” and still hit a vape pen without difficulty. They also pack and travel well and much less conspicuously than freebase spice.

Safe travels,
Sv

Agree, I've definitely hit a vape pen until I've gone down and again inside the deep end. Fun times
