hello all, finally i started extraction

I found one missing ingredient! the F$#@n Scales... I have no Scales!!!!

come on guis i need help to mesure
30-40g salt
50g of Sodium Hydroxide

plzzz help if someone can tell how much will it be in spoons or something...

Salt is about 1/3 below 100 ml sign and Lye is about 2/3 below 100 ml sign

Well 100ml sign is about 80g depends on how coarse your salt is ... so around half
I would pour a heap of salt into your palm...and use that...

BUT DON'T put a heap of lye in your palm...but use around the same amount.

If the mix goes Black/Dark with the lye...then that's an indicator that you've used enough lye.

Oh and don't heat the mix too high...just warm is OK

hahaha )) I like the Fight Club movie but I have no intention to try and test lye effects on my palm )))

water/Vinegar mix was almos boiling (small bubbles starting to appear) when i pored it in to the bottle with powder.
then i almost boiled the water bath and put the bottle in it (it's off the power and cooling right now). shaking it a bit once in about 5 mins

I guess i'll have to skip this step.

although I'm gona add 100ml water just to stay on the same volume.

Use the salt...a miniscule portion of iodine won't hurt at those levels...:thumb_up:

Its OK just dissolve the salt in minimal hot water...the amounts shown just bring the levels up to the neck of the bottle so the naphtha is easily reached.

I guess i mixed a bit more salt than 30g it did not dissolve fully. i aded that mix without salt residue to the mixing bottle.
i mixed lye in the water and now i am going to ad that to the mix until it goes black

Looks OK...the bark will settle...add the lye and occasionally mix for an hour or so to let the lye do its job of converting the spice into freebase form. Then you can add the naphtha and mix that as per the tek.

In that Pic...fill to where the 30 mark is...just below the middle of the centre of the curve of the neck...
This will leave enough room to put the nap in and be able to mix OK..
