Currently there is a discussion going on about fringe topics like this one and the impact that it has on the credibility of the DMT-Nexus.
There is a high probability that these fringe topics, just like CT topics will have to find another site to be continued.

The Mayans were an interesting culture and they predicted many things correctly. They also had some rather brutal practices (by our standards) and many of their predictions came to nothing. They did not pop up over night. They were established over huge amounts of time, like most other impressive cultures. There's nothing magic here. Just low tech, high organization and very good observations.
Brace yourselves - we're only 10 days into 2012. Here it comes, thick and fast and it's only January. It's going to be quite a year. I'm thinking that less money will be spent (folks just don't have it like they did) but more "interesting" theories and products will come out than we got for the Y2K hype.
This is all fine and entertaining until extreme things happen. Some examples of extremes might include on a spectrum from minimal to maximal (in my mind):
1.) Saying something is proven scientifically that is not. (I list this as minor because it happens every day in all kinds of media)
2.) Wasting money that should be spent on subsistence expenses.
3.) Leaving established and hard worked for things such as family and job to join fringe or cult groups (this is related to #2 above).
4.) Doing extreme things such as burning the compound with children inside, drinking the Kool-Aid, chopping off genitals and waiting for UFO pickups.
I suspect we will see more of this than we did for the ramp-up to 2000 and it makes me sad. Especially in a time when our focus should be much more "down to Earth."
December 21, 2012 is a Friday. It's going to be a heck of a party for many folks. I suspect I will participate enthusiastically by raising a jar of mushrooms to my memory of T. (RIP) before nomming them all. I certainly hope that folks will party hearty but safely.
I also hope that the majority will proceed as if it's just a party Friday and that Saturday the 22nd will be a huge hangover and cleanup day, leading into the Christmas and New Year's holidays. 2013 will occur on time and folks will be expected to report for school and work.
Whether or not these topics are seen as appropriate for any part of the Nexus by closed discussion groups will probably have little bearing on the number of these posts that pop up this year. Mods will have to be super vigilant I suspect.
