Hey all,
I recently joined the forum, and I've had 2 trips so far. I wanted to share my most recent one, but I'll also briefly cover my first one. FYI, I have experience with large doses of other psychedelics such as LSD, mescaline and psilocybin, mostly in therapeutic or spiritual settings.
First, after going through... a lot to put myself into the position where I had a vape cartridge ready to go, I asked a friend to trip sit me a few weeks ago when I had my first experience. I was very nervous. I used a 1:1 cart with a 2.4V vaporiser, I was originally planning to take a few puffs, pulling for 7 seconds and then holding it for 7, but I failed at that -- I took a few puffs that were about 3 second long and I held it for about 2-3 seconds as well. Still, I had a beautiful experience. The world sorta began to melt. I had a profound realisation that love is the fundamental force underlying time and space. I know it may sound very hippy, but I was genuinely moved by this experience. I felt pure love. Still, I felt that this experience was leaning towards the mild end of what DMT offers.
Earlier today (2 weeks later), I had another go at it. I bumped the voltage to 3 and I used a stopwatch to actually time my inhales and breath holds. I managed to do 2 7-second pulls and then I held for 7 seconds. I think in theory I had it in me to pull another time, but... I was just too overwhelmed. I put the cartridge down moments before I... kind of lost all cognitive faculties. I felt like I was frozen or spellbound. I kept my eyes open throughout the entire trip, I think I didn't even blink, but that wasn't really my intention, I just forgot that I even have eyes and that I can "see" anything because the world just... sorta fractilised (not sure if this is the right word, but I can't think of a better one) in incredible ways. I also had music playing in the background and I realised later that I couldn't even hear it, I had this buzzing sound in my ears, and somehow the music was almost just not registered by me for a while. I returned to my body about 7 minutes later shaking and sweating and I even remember tears rolling down my face, but it was not a negative experience at all, it was absolutely beautiful. I did not get any cosmic downloads this time, but it was an incredible experience. I was just so shaken by what had happened. The awe of it all was just so overwhelming and then I was back to normal like nothing had happened. Absolutely wild. I don't think I even approached the DMT realm, I was still sorta in this world, but this world was just transformed beyond recognition.
I was thinking about mixing another 3:1 cart (3 times DMT to carrier liquid), but after this experience, I think I should pump the brakes on it, I think my current cart may be sufficient for a breakthrough, it's just that getting another hit would be a challenge, I think. My first experience was actually very pleasant as well, but it almost felt like a different substance, that I could see one using with a meditation session, whereas my second experience was all the way up there, but not quite a breakthrough.
