Hello everyone, this is Prana2020 from Argentina. I've been looking for a transcendental means to expand consciousness and I read DMT was an excellent substance that may hasten the process. I dont know much about it, except that its use is ancient and its common in the northern part of south america.
Activating the third eye seems important for this end. I meditate every day in hopes to enhance the experience; letting go of the ego is always the hardest step. I have Astral projected, although unwillingly, and hope to do so properly next time.

With that said, Im excited to be here and share/discuss experiences with you.

I'm also thinking about Psilocybin and Peyote.

There are some species of psylocybin native to this place, so I'll be on the lookout.

I have some skills in photoshop, so Ill continue to submit banners for the site. I enjoy doing them.
I've also developed some clairvoyance skill, although its currently in its first steps. And it seems to fade in and out.

Here's a little poem, a work of mine.

Stemming from the abyss
the fireblade, slicing within
brought forth in ancient times
saw the light in the recent shine
of the golden disk, once and for all
before man's greed, it rose and fall

Once more, its steel melody sings
with men's screams in grinned teeth
their wooden spears, shattered to bits
their hopes lost, found beyond repair
with hearts burst, soiled in repent

In a silver disk, further henchmen arrived
with mandragora, deep inside themselves
a trance of light and shadow, soon came
in a sudden blink, into a gap
the steel fang was cast
leaving the soil in charred grass
the land was black, it was not to last.

Hello welcome..

Hope you enjoy your stay here on the Nexus. You'll find great information here regarding your topics of interest and will discover incredible depths of thinking. DMT is one of the main networks here, you'll learn a lot for that topic. :)

Also, what other entheogens are you interested in/have experience with? Transcendental consciousness certainly plays a role within entheogenic states, including shamanism.

Can you elaborate on your astral projection experience?

Thanks
I don't have much knowledge on etheogens, but I always wanted to know more of different "flavors" of cannabis.

My experience on AP was a bit short, it occurred in my sleep; I somehow exited my body, to see myself below while completely terrified. Back then I didnt believe AP was possible, so that completely blew my mind. This created a great distraction in my mind, and my astral body urged back into my body, and I awoke all of a sudden thinking it was a nightmare.

I still feel the chills, heh.

Hello Prana2020,

Welcome to the Nexus and thank you so much for sharing your introduction essay with us ,:).

I found it interesting that you astral projected unwillingly. It is just one woman's opinion but I honestly believe these types of experiences are not meant to be consciously controlled or even judged. Just observed and if all goes well remembered and then later, integrated. It almost sounds like your experience may have been good practice for DMT.

I would applaud you for seeking the mushroom path first though. I honestly believe shrooms are a great "pathway drug" for DMT, :D. Nothing can really prepare a person for the truth of hyperspace, but high dose mushrooms for me at least offer a taste of the palette, entities, insanity and trance/paralysis (among other effects) that DMT induces within me (and others).

I do hope you will keep us posted.

Warm Regards,
Pandora

I edited my introduction and got a small work of mine to share as well.

Hola y bienvenido/bienvenida al foro,

I'm not sure it's safe to say that dmt hastens the process of awakening or enlightenment or whatever it is you are trying to achieve. I think spiritual practice with psychedelics has its own difficulties and so in the end is no faster or slower than any other choice. It just depends on what you feel most inclined towards I guess. But then, I'm no spiritual master, so I wouldn't be able to say any of this with certainty. They are however a great means to explore what we are capable of experiencing.

Many people do feel like psychedelics offer a glimpse at what true enlightenment may be like and thus embed their use into their spiritual practice. Personally I believe that there is a difference and that psychedelics are their own very special state with lots and lots for us to learn from the experience. As for expanding consciousness, it's hard to say. What do you mean by this? Becoming more open minded? Expanding consciousness beyond the boundaries of your body?

As opposed to meditation psychedelics are very flashy and loud in a sense. To really learn and grow from them IMO a lot more is needed than simply taking them. Preperation and integration are very important steps in this kind of work and without them the experiences and the lessons remain icomplete; they may remain a beautiful play of light and sound. With contemplation, self-reflection etc. however you might find meaning encoded in all of it. Sometimes it's obvious but often there are subtelties that take their time to unravel in your minds eye.

I'd be interested to hear how things go and what you decide to chose in the end. Do keep us posted. For a detailed guide on safe and responsible use of psychedelics take a look at this handbook: www.oht.me/index.php/download
