Hi there,
It's nice to meet you all, I have a lurked on this place for a number of years. To be honest it wasn't really do with the DMT. It was after drinking a half pint of cacti mucus that I started to lurk here trying to perfect the limonene extraction. I managed to start making decent product I was happy with it. It would never have been possible without this site
I was involved in the rave scene back in the late 80s early 90s and I have a lot of experience with Certain empathogens and unspecified dodgy pills. I also experienced 2-CB; my mate and I are the only ones who liked the experience.
We did a lot of acid back then and mushrooms to name but a few. Our main love however was empathogens. However whenever we took heavier psychedelics my mates were still trying to treat them as party drugs which obviously
they aren't. I'm not a religious person but I do think the serious psychedelics deserve respect and I certainly feel a spirituality in my mind and access to my subconscious that these plants and substances allow me access and achieve a greater insight; an insight into who I am and how I live my life.
I have lived what many would think a hedonistic life style for some time. For the last few years however I have been very ill and it was undiagnosed. My GPs were only interested in placing me on antidepressants which I did not want to repeat as I have gone through that nightmare as a teenager.
Subsequently I grew very despondent and turned to disassociatives to block out life. One of my favourites was nitrous oxide. Unfortunately my undiagnosed condition was functional B12 deficiency. I developed severe neuropathy, had a spinal cord deteriorated and ended up paralysed in hospital. Luckily my treatment was excellent and my recovery has been very good.
I've noticed many people extol the virtues of nitrous oxide when combined with psychedelics. This can certainly be mind blowing but be wary my friends. The risks can be very great especially if you have an underlying condition such as functional B12 deficiency. Always take supplements before and after and if you ever feel pins and needles in your feet, anywhere in fact, then get going to the hospital straight away. Just some friendly advice about a substance that is commonly thought of as very benign. It can kill. It's something I think could be useful to document in the health and safety section. B12 issues are complicated and people should be aware of the risks involved. I would be happy to write up and submit to the moderator to see if it is appropriate
Anyway, I digress, My flat mate extracted some DMT and shared with me. It was one of the most awe inspiring and humbling experiences of my life. My previous fear of the substance I realise was largely unfounded and something I am incredibly glad I discovered. I have yet to break through but I very much enjoy sub-breakthrough experiences.
I find them to be an excellent, calming and meditative experience. My neuropathic pain vanishes. I have experienced entities; one visually and the other is a small voice that seems to talk over my shoulder. I got a strong sense from both of the these that they were looking out for me and reassuring me. The enhancement of colour, the CEVs, the pure beauty of it all are beyond anything I imagined possible I am awestruck by this chemical.
Empathogens Will always be my favourite drug family. However the compounds discussed on this site I realise are of a very different nature. They are serious tools and I realise that they need to be treated with much respect.
To give some background into my previous experimental experience. I have successfully extracted mescaline and grown mushrooms and truffles.
My next area of interest is DMT. I'm interested in the ethanol extraction discussed in the green subforum. Hopefully I can make a success of it. I am the sort of person who naturally likes to experiment with things like this once I know that it's possible.
I look forward to contributing to the conversations on this forum. I have around 30 years psychedelic experience and it will be fantastic to talk to others who treat these things with equal respect.
I'll have other things to discuss later no doubt but I'm not a massive talker, I'm a a bit of an introvert. For now that's my introduction as to how I ended up here. I look forward to spending more time with all.
Apologies for such a rambling essay. I have a tendency to waffle!
Cheers,
B
