Every time SWIM freeze precips, SWIM get tiny crystals that turn into goop (yes SWIM knows it is dmt) which is fine but SWIM DOESN'T WANT TO WAIT 2 WEEKS. Warming up the solvent and material then extracting. Then putting the extract into smaller jars ( SWIM knows that its recommended to use a wide mouth container, but SWIM wants crystals that won't dissolve and the bigger the better in SWIMs eyes) then running those through a warm water bath for a while till SWIM get bored (usually a couple hours because SWIM get side tracked). turning off the heat (SWIM use a low powered hot plate because it's cheap) then let it go down to room temp in the water bath. After you get these fluffy, long and thin acicular crystals that look like a cold cooler of water on the top of a steep hill in the middle of the sahara dessert that you only found because you were so delirious from dehydration that you started to dig your own grave as it seemed most logical at the time, just to be met with what can only be described as a god given gift that sends you into hysterical laughter.

P.S. SWIM only did this because SWIM completed an extraction and added the solvent into the materials and added to a water bath, left it for a day and came back to crystals that did not dissolve in ambient temperatures in naphtha (in the jar of materials) as SWIM DOESN'T WANT TO WAIT 2 WEEKS... SWIM HATES THE COLD; IT ONLY CAUSES PROBLEMS!!!
SWIM also did the most standard tek with acrb.

I think goop is the result of plant fats being in alongside the dmt.

You can do a mini a/b or so I was told when my stuff came out goopy. I really don’t mind it takes you to the same place.

Goopy goo from mimosa bark is thought - with reasonable evidence to back this up - to result from base-catalysed polymerisation of the DMT. Check out "minimum polymer" for more details.

Larger crystals can be obtained from freeze precipitation simply by applying the cooling process more slowly. Having the precipitation dish insulated somehow, perhaps with a secondary container, and letting it cool in the fridge before transferring to the freezer. This should take hours, not days - let alone weeks - so I'm not sure why you're flipping out over this.

Further methods for improving crystallisation include use of seed crystals, and the process known as Ostwald ripening. It's worth bearing in mind that when working to produce crystals you'll benefit from cultivating an attitude of patience. If this still proves challenging, one possible alternative is to conduct multiple consecutive extractions and crystallisations, so that at some point the first batch of crystals will be ready as you put the last extraction in to chill.

Just remember, giant clusters of quartz crystals don't form in the mountains overnight no matter how much you rage at them.

I find that the goo can harden up significantly if left for a few days.

I don't think you need to wait weeks for freeze precipitation. 24-48hours precipitates the majority, so you might as well decant and cycle the solvent through another pull to load it up more before doing another precipitation if you want to be time efficient in your extraction. You could even do two runs of solvent in parallel.

ive found that the goop is good for seed crystals, i would have oversaturated my solute, then add a small bit of goop to a glass slide for a microscope into the solute (ive been layering it on the slides which works and dries easy, i would plan to put just a drop on it to have a more solid seed) i also realize that it looks like fiber glass, when i see other peoples high purity crystals they look spikey, am i missing something?
