hexane vs. n-hexane

hi there

i found a online laboratory supplier who sells all kinds of chemicals, including fumaric acid (100 grams for €14,-)
i can also get hexane 1 liter €11,26 and n-hexane 1 liter €34,- :shock:

i was wondering if there, in practice, is any difference in properties that that justify the high price of the n-hexane.

i get good results with naphta though, wich costs me €3,50 per liter

Hexane or n-Hexane are pretty much the same.
N-Hexane has no extra value.
Just buy Hexane if you want to use it.

I recommend Limonene instead of hexane.

i have searched the web for limonene, but sadly there is no local supplier of it in quantities and prices dat make it affordable. as far as i can tell it is only sold as essential oil wich is like €10 for 60ml...
