One day, I was praying to Jesus and god worshipping and reading the holy Bible yet after I got a euphoric heavenly rush and a sense of love and connection on top of that a sedated state like a reawakening I felt something I never felt and Jesus was the psychedelic I needed the hope from prayer transcended beyond any drug high I ever felt.

Oh its understandable I just believe you only get a full joy a full love and acceptance from Jesus as he's the true God.

I understand that you feel strongly about your own beliefs, and you have the full right to, but please remember that the Nexus is not a place where religious preaching is tolerated, as explained in our Attitude Page.

Huh but im in the spirituality section and there other religions being mentioned is it only fair for me to mention my religion

Mentioning your religion or talking about why it works for you is fine, but saying things like this constitutes preaching:
you only get a full joy a full love and acceptance from Jesus as he's the true God

Keeping an open mind and trying to look at the world from multiple perspectives is, in my experience, highly beneficial towards cultivating an outlook that is as close to the ever-illusive "truth" as possible.

Hey there Weston!!

Usually I don't bother to answer, but here it goes.. Just wanted to say, you as Christian are in a pretty weird place.

(Nothing personal to the Nexus, this place is marvelous, and I respect every traveler in here💕)

The thing is, from a Christian point of view, all kind of drugs are Devil tools, and you are on a Drug forum.

From Christian Holy Fathers point of view, saying "high and euphoric from prayer", and Calling Jesus "the psychedelic I needed" is not ok and is blasphemy.

I'll try to explain. Words matters. Holy Fathers addressed to a feeling of "euphoria" as very dangerous and not good feeling. With feeling of euphoria, one could easily fall in delusional state and fall in Devils trap. It means that, with drugs that giving you euphoria, human can easily make wrong decisions and fall, because all drugs are Devils (Liers) tools, made to bring human to his fall. As most of times humans can't really recognize truth from lies.

Holy Fathers weren't looking for feeling "High (as high from drugs)" or euphoria through their prayer. They were looking for feeling of Serenity, Peace, Kindness and Compassion for human kind, praying for it in solitude. Through all that feelings coming from their hearts, they were receiving blessing and Love, from Holy Spirit.

Again, just telling Christian point of view, calling Jesus Christ "the psychedelic i needed" is not ok. Since psychedelics are drugs (Devil tools) and Jesus is Love.

Of course, God works in mysterious ways and there is God's Providence in everything. (God is something our simple mind just cant fit in. Maybe there is other place for God, like our heart.) So, maybe even the Devil (Since he is God's creation) doesn't know how God using him for Our kind good and salvation. Maybe human (as creation gifted with feelings of remorse and repentance) will do whole bunch of bad deeds until he separates and recognize what is good and bad, then repent, get humble, get free from big childish, selfish ego and live his life according to the commandments of Christ, doing virtues in life without sins. In other words, get free from delusions of our races enemy.

My best wishes everybody
Be blessed✨

One love 💕

Many paths to the same goal, grasshopper.
I also identify as a Christian, but I don't believe it's the only way. Jesus brought a true message to us.
However, religion is not God, and like any bureaucracy can actually stray pretty far from the tenets it is based upon.

First of all, I don't impose anything on anyone. Everyone is free to believe anything he/she likes💝

Brokedownpalace10, hey!!
Interesting, you called yourself a Christian, but you don't believe that Christ is the only way.
Interesting because Christ literally said: "I'm the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to Father except through me"- John 14''6
By that being said from Jesus, you literally saying that you don't believe in him.

Yes religion is not God, but from Holy Father's teaching and Jesus himself, Jesus is son of God, part of Holy Trinity, which is God. Which means according to the Christian doctrine, Jesus is God. Words "believe and faith" are very important and highly mentioned in Gospel for a reason.
The Holy Trinity is a core Christian doctrine, defining God as one divine being, who eternally exists as three distinct, co-equal, and co-eternal Persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. This doctrine asserts there is one God, not three, who is united in nature, purpose, and action.

And once again, don't get me wrong, we are free humans, I don't imposes anything on anyone.

With humble intentions
Be happy everybody🙏🏼

Lol. I have fairly liberal beliefs which would horrify some pastors at churches I have attended. Remember what I said about religion.
One example would be the concept of the trinity being established at the Nicean Council a couple hundred years after Christ died.

I am wondering if you can still be a christian while at the same time not taking the bible at face value. For me it is possible. The bible was written by fallible human beings that can sometimes get things wrong.

This seems a little like policing belief.

Yes, it was said that it was said that Jesus said that. There are plenty of people and religions that wouldn't take seriously. No one is obligated to.

Exactly Voidmartix, no one is obligated to, everybody may believe anything they want.

Thats why I said I don't impose anything on anyone.
Everyone of us has its own personal relationship with Jesus.

Peace🕊️ 💝

I know you weren't imposing, which is why discussion on that point might be okay. Sorry if I seemed contentious. I literally just woke up.

To expand, couldn't aligning with that excerpt also be interpreted through action and not belief, such that acting like Jesus, even if one didn't believe in Jesus, would still be getting to God through Jesus.
