Ok so I've done more than a dozen extracts... but one thing I've noticed is that seemingly randomly some dishes after freeze precip will have a scattered crystal growth and others will have tight dime sized clusters with gorgeous shards... What could be the reason for this? I love those lil dime sized crystal flowers. I always make sure any jar, dish or beaker I use Is as clean as possible and do my best to keep my tek on point and measurements as accurate as I can. Just sometimes it gathers into those beautiful crystal flowers. What's the variable there?

I try to put as thin a layer in a dish as possible. I've found that thinner layers crystallize faster and better. I'll try the cool at room temp then fridge for cpl hours then freezer. Thanks for the advice. I'll let ya kno of it works out.
From my understanding there's a few things one can do to assist in greater crystal formation.
First, allow more solvent to evaporate before precipitation. Then pour remaining saturated solvent into a smaller vessel with less surface area (like from a pyrex dish to a small jar). Reheat the solvent in the new vessel. Then add a seed crystal. Next, allow to cool slowly. You will then want to alternate putting it in the refrigerator and freezer for about a day.
