Hyperspace and pets

I have noticed on a number of occasions that while I was under the influence of a sacred plant, animals in the room seemed to feel the effects almost as much as I did.

I have noticed this while on mushrooms with my cats / on DMT with my GF's dog... and well my hedgehog acts stoned all the time so its hard to tell.

The animals start jumping around the room, following invisible objects intently with there gaze/ears, acting really affectionately ect.

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this with their pets.

(note I was vaping the DMT with a VG in a ventilated room.. im not talking about actually getting your hamster high on acid or weed, just their response and connection to you when you do it)

,,more than a few times with entheogens i perceived cats as 'psychic watchdogs', or had dogs observe me very oddly indeed (which seems to be their perception of me at the time)...in wild nature animals/birds are often 'syncronistic' in their actions while entheogens are being ingested.

don't think there could possibly be 'passive' absorbtion going on (except, perhaps, pheromones 'translating' the experience)

mainstream science had a big problem with Sheldrake's famous mislabled 'psychic dogs' experiments.
if there are extra senses, surely entheogens are one of the best tools for investigating. and animals are possibly more 'aware' in this way..

thanks for the topic...many i know love having a 'familiar' or pet-sitter (reverse meaning) around during voyages...

p.s after looking after some goats for a year i could totally imagine the cruel "Men Who Stare At Goats" experiments...

There is not a doubt in my mind that this expansion of our consciousness has an effect on pets, and I've noticed it on several occasions. That just leaves us to theorize about a few things..

Perhaps they too are affected and experiencing some of what we are. Perhaps our energy feeds into them in these states, or our aura noticeably changes. Or perhaps we attract a lot of attention on astral or spiritual planes when on entheogens, and they are naturally sensitive to this activity to begin with.

Lots of possibilities.

One time a fluffy Himalayan cat curled up into a ball on my chest after I was too intoxicated with Caapi to move her... we had an amazing experience together (I learned a lot about the animal kingdom!) and her behavior toward me after was more much affectionate.

(I'm going to go look at the new silly cat thread and get teary and nostalgic...)

Pets are the best! I think they can see our divine nature all the time, the same nature we see in ourselves when we are tripping... it's cool to share the moment, though. I've seen cat chakras, too.

Once after blasting of I saw this ephemeral cat thing/spirit/entity wich often transposed itself over the visuals, a bit like the cat from "Alice in...". Upon returning from the depths I see my cat staring at me, who I thought went out for the day (he's a bit of a roamer). I always found this peculiar, as I was 100% convinced he wasn't near and yet this cat figure showed up in my visions. This was also the only time I've seen this ephemeral kitty

When SWIM journeys, the cats all join in. On a cactus journey once SWIM was in the living room at the peak of the journey and the cat was in front of him began to act really strange, as if he was not sure it was SWIM or not. Also, every time SWIM journeys the same cat stars running like crazy, meowing at the ceilings and at invisible things.

Also, the shyest cat who barely came out from under the bed, started to come out and be very friendly and demanding play.

But the real proof was when SWIM began to focus on his girlfriend with love an intent, and SWIM's girlfriend who was totally sober in the next room, began to go into a trance and began to panic with complaints of feeling like she was dissolving. At the time the girlfriend had not had any experience with psychs.

This is actually less about my pets reaction to me so much as my reaction to my pet, but the other day I was under the influence of chaliponga. I had just taken a giant rip out of the GVG on top so the synergy between the chaliponga, the MAOIs and the DMT was immense. My dog started barking (not out of the ordinary...she doesn't shut up) and she was luckily within arms reach so without opening my eyes, I bent over and started petting her to stop the barking. As soon as I touched her my visuals gained a great deal of luminosity. I played with her for a few minutes until she decided to walk away. The instant my hand was removed from her fur, my visuals instantly lost a great deal of brightness, but remained the same in every other way. It was as if my dog was literally feeding energy into my visuals somehow.

Yes i also have noticed this effect with animals, mainly dogs as i do not own a cat but as few of my friends own dogs and every dog is the same, they will always change there mood almost as soon as you feel the effects, one of the dogs would constantly wine and bark like he needed to go and pee or he was trying to tell us something and they would aslo want to be in direct contact with the tripper lol which reminds me of when my mate had his biggest hit and then the dig jumped up on him and looked him right in the face wining and carrying on my mate kept saying no no not now bella but no matter what we did the dog would usually want to stay in direct contact with the tripper and wouldnt act normal untill we were normal
so i would have to say you are %100 right with your assumptions :)

My mums cat jumped on my friends lap last time he was peaking on DMT, he didn't even notice he was so gone but i thought it was pretty cool how it happened

We were sitting outside though, i don't think people should exhale DMT vapor into the same room as a pet, that's just cruel. If you exhale the slightest amount into the room think how powerful DMT is & how little their lungs are, on top of getting a contact high your also forcing them to inhale DMT themselves.

I "believe" in this psychic human-nature interaction. Now hold on, don't get indignant (ha) -- I'm about to try to explain those quotation marks.

This seemingly novel phenomenon of animals synergizing with us is really just a "true alignment" of our minds, aided by DMT but chosen by ourselves. (we choose to let go) It feels like telepathy, and crazy energy going out from you and into you and all around you.

I don't just believe it is a phenomenon in your minds, it is a necessary and healthy state of mind which you are all describing. This feeling of palpable connection with the greatness. One needs not actually believe these supernatural forces exist: one must feel them. Maybe we say they are supernatural because they escape understanding. After all, what is our (speaking from a Western POV) understanding but largely the work of the left brain hemisphere? The right brain hemisphere's work is the connection to the psychic supernatural world.

Thus the belief in supernatural phenomena is not "belief" in the sense of the word that we have become accustomed to as a society, and those who talk about such things get bashed by "normal people." It goes to show that words are meaningless if we do not have faith in the one speaking them.
