Sorry about the LSD question on the wrong board but i don't have the privileges to post in the right one yet. How many posts is it before we get that privilege?

So, I have my first tab of LSD and i haven't had the chance to use it yet and doubt i will for a few more weeks with the way my school work is going. It will be my first time using it (or any psychedelics for that matter) and i was planning on starting with something light like STP or Mescaline but i decided for LSD in the end for various reasons. And then i was told that this LSD I have is going to be some of the strongest stuff. Guess i'm going to have to find out how to lower my chances of a bad trip as much as possible. Especially since my first experience with Marijuana resulted in a panic attack that had me feeling like i would die.

But anyways, since i don't have plans on using it for a little while longer, i wanted to ask a question about storing it. My friend kept saying it was going to get ruined if i don't keep it in a freezer but i don't have any freezers to store it in without someone else taking it before i get the chance. So far i've had it in a piece of aluminum foil, which is then put in another piece of aluminum foil, which is then put in another piece of aluminum foil, which is wrapped in saran wrap, which is put in a ziplock bag, which is put in a film photography canister, which is put in a cardboard box and then placed in my closet. So, i have it in an airtight and lightproof location but the thing that's missing is the cold. The good thing is, i don't live in a humid area at all (in fact it was -18 degrees outside today, but it was 75 in my house), and it's the winter right now, but it's obviously nowhere near as cold as a fridge in my house.

Well, here's the question: if i wait a few more weeks before taking it, do you think it will be ruined or ineffective when i do decide to go for it? Or will it just be slightly less potent since i have it stored fairly safely just missing one ingredient (it's super potent anyways according to my friends and this will be my first time so maybe that wouldn't be a bad thing)? So, what are your experiences with the storage of LSD? Do you think it'll make it? And if yes, will a similar storage method work well for a batch of DMT?

LSD is a very unstable molecule and degrades rapidly upon exposure to light or heat, so keep that tab cold! Freezers (or refrigerators) are a must.

You cannot be sure that what you have is actually LSD-25, instead of something like 25i or a substituted amphetamine. I highly recommend you do a simple test to make sure you know what you're taking.
I had a friend who thought he was dropping acid before a rave one Friday night, and 36 hours later he was still tripping. It turned out it probably was something from the DOx family.

Be careful.

Bad trips on acid can be scary, especially on acid, which has a psychotic element that things like mushrooms or Ayahuasca lack. 20-40mg of Valium will do the trick though, although if you are too profoundly anxious or disconnected from reality, it may not help. It won't end the trip, just calm you down.
An atypical antipsychotic like Risperdone will actually terminate the psychedelic effect and put you right to sleep.

My cat says that you should have your blotter tested in a lab. He says that LSD is a very complicated "tek" in which most precursors are all ready banned to synthesize LSD. My cat was very clever to suggest that much of the paper blotters today are comprised of other drugs that can be found in the grey market. He says that true LSD has no taste nor odor and that some shady LSD had a "rusty penny" like taste which was not LSD at all. My cat even when further to suggest that much of what is being sold is within the DOx family of psychedelics in which besides the longer duration, the trip tends to be more energetic than an LSD trip, with more body load and a different subjective visual experience.

In any case if one is tempted he or she should allow a few days before administering the substance for clarity regarding duration of the unknown drug.

Also freebase DMT can be stored for long periods of time with or without a freezer.

When people say it degrades though would you say it's completely loosing it's effects or is it just gradually reducing in potency the longer i store it?

And it hasn't been tested yet but i did make sure i waited to see how it effected my friend before trying it out on myself. He said it was definitely acid and the effects lasted him a few hours (i think he said about 4 or 5) and then he fell asleep for about 12 hours (i've never heard of that effect before though).

And thank you for the tips on a bad trip. I'll make it a point to stock up on some benzos before i jump into the experience, especially now that i know i have a chance of getting a panic attack. That was one of the scariest things i've ever experienced before and that was just with weed. I couldn't even imaging how much it would suck being on LSD at the time that happens. You're taking a risk by not keeping it cold, but if you can't keep it cold, keeping it insulated (as you've done) is the next best thing. Oh. Wow. Still potent after a year and 50% strength still after 9 years. Then it'll probably be fine how it is for another month (bringing the total to 4 months stored). I would prefer a light, upbeat, trip anyways. Thank you guys.

In my experience storing Lucy is relatively easy, cool and dry/devoid of light. If its as cold outside as you say just place that film canister outside somewhere safe.
What youve done should be plenty really but i agree with lutinmalin, its pretty stable if not messed with TOO much, Lack of light/heat/moisture or the best of whatever combination you can easily provide.

I was considering putting it outside too but then i rememberred my dog likes to sniff out our things outside so i would have a whole nother problem if it eats it. Lol. And it snows a lot here one day and melts the next so there would also be some condensation i would have to worry about as well. But it's a good idea if it wasn't for those two factors.

You can also get some information from the size of the blotter, lsd is Active at 0.1-0.2 mg so only a small blotter is necessary to carry the compound, for example 0.5*0.5 cm. DOx are usually only active in doses of a couple of milligrams so the blotters for DOx compounds are generally somewhat larger for example 1.2*1.2 cm.

And the tab is really small. Like, about the size of my pinky nail. It came from a standard blotter sheet where there's a picture of a smily face (black and white) on every 4 tabs and this is just one tab off the picture (1/4 of the face).

The NBOMe's are a family of phenelthylamine psychedelics (that means they are similar is structure to mescaline or 2C-b) and while no one knows if they are bad for you or not, they are very recent discoveries, so no one knows much about them, including things like their toxicity profile.

25i (and other rc's) is being passed off as LSD these days and is not really like the real thing at all.

Oh, wow. That sounds really bad. All i can say is he better not have gave me any of that. Although if i was to take it and that is what it really is, i dont knink i would even know since it would be my first experience with either of the two. Would the UV test be able to give me any sort of idea? Or will it need to be chemically tested?
