Interesting Reddit Post Regarding ACRB

I think there is more than one mechanism through which harmala-containing plants cause nausea:
  • Effects of the harmalas on the nervous system, as @northape pointed out.
  • Other potentially nausea-inducing substances, such as tannins or high amounts of fructose (the latter, found in caapi brews).
  • Interactions with food eaten in the last day.
  • Psychological reactions.
There may be more.

Having had to take mebendazole as a kid many times for pinworm infections, there was no nausea whatsoever from those parasites dying off.

I love the whole nausea wave from harmalas. It is an energy, specifically a cleansing type of energy. We know little about the energy body in the West, but I would speculate that nausea does more than we understand nowadays. Just knowing that you can relax into it and make it work for your own benefit (getting rid of heavy energies) already points to something. Most likely, there are many physiological responses in the body that happen under the general umbrella of nausea. Parasites suffer with you, and it is a battle of resilience. Who is going to die first? That is my method as a true masochist :devilish:

Acacia is NMT dominant in root bark. NMT gives this euphoric joyful feeling, but clouds the experience a bit.
Mimosa would be very clear and sharp in comparison. My “brew it right” method:
Powder your material > Cook in 30ml/g water at PH4 for 2–3 hours > filter coarse plant bits > do an egg-white filtration > reduce to drinking volume
2-5g would be a good dose to test the waters, depending on your sensitivity (start small). I used to make batches from 50g of material, gauge its strength and
proceed from there.

My experience with changa is limited and I only did ACRB extraction. It was quite similar to oral brew, but a bit more
clear and DMT dominant. My mix was heavy on harmalas too (don't remember the ratio). My conclusion was that water
extraction gives a more holistic experience.

Acacia is Acacia and you will get the same teachings from it.
We are so caught up on states of mind, but true healing often goes behind the scenes.
Sometimes, a horrendous experience can be the most healing and an easy one just empty.

Egg-white filtration. How have I never heard of this, or indeed thought of it in this context, before?
Would this be ok to do when extracting harmalas from rue, or in an A/B extraction?

Not really. It is a technique from winemaking to remove excessive tannins. You do it with dmt teas for oral use made from bark to clean them and make them more digestible. There is little use for egg-white filtration beyond that. Moreover, you should consume your filtered tea as soon as possible, because some protein always remains in it.

I was thinking of its use when making beautiful, clear Consommé.
