I was pleased as pie to find this little gem.

sorry, I now realise this is over two years old.

Thanks for posting. Found The Cosmic Serpent fascinating, have got Intelligence in Nature, not had time to read it yet. Had a brief exchange with him on facebook weirdly enough, seems like a top dude. 8)

Cool stuff, "The Cosmic Serpent" and Narby's ideas in general are certainly paradigm-shifters; I think Dennis McKenna brought up the possibility of a kind of synergy/resonance between ayahuasca alks and DNA, but Narby took it way more in depth and made it a much more plausible and perhaps testable hypothesis. I know the Leary/Wilson 8 circuit model of consciousness gives place to a DNA/neurogenetic circuit that the brain/mind can "operate on", but Narby takes this to a different level of respectability.

I've got so much love and respect for Simon P and Raja Ram, such great warriors, artists, wizards, and Raja's a real torch-bearer from the previous generation, don't know if you feel the same respect for him. Have you heard any of his stuff from the Quintessence days? I think you'll recognize him:

Actually couldn't spot raja in there... but I hear the flute so I know its him. hehe

He's there, he's just tripping face apparently and having a great time with the drums. Go to 1:28, you can see the same joy in his face 40 years ago! Compare it with some wild modern urban shamanix in Japan here:

Also here's a funny one, a kick-back to the 70's, they're just miming to the recording but what a fantastic kirtan. There's no mistaking Raja here...also check out the hilarious hippy-religious 'testimonial' starting at 2:48
