Hello notepadfan,
Welcome to the Nexus. Thank you so much for sharing your introduction essay with us. To be honest though, I'm not sure you took full advantage of what this is. It is a chance for you to really introduce yourself to us. You don't have to tell us a lot of personal details, but as you may notice, many folks give us a sense of where they are in life, what they are pursuing (career/education/etc), what they are working on in their lives (you mentioned learning to let go) and why they want to do this work. What led them to psychedelics and DMT in particular. What led them to this site and what they hope to get out of it/contribute to it.
Many, if not most of us here have been through very dark/hellish times. I try to remind folks about that and tell them it is very important to address each other with respect and caring. Not to call women girls or men of color boys, not to be so quick to disparage the other, etc. What I'm trying to say here is we are all in the same boat and it's called being Human Beings. Our lives are adventures but true adventures garner growth and growth seldom comes without pain. Thus our lives are filled with pain. Many Buddhists say pain is necessary but suffering is optional . . . . I have to do work on this because of a lot of crap that has come my way. I also have to work on acceptance.
You see, this is not a place to be afraid to speak up. It is a super secure site, and if you want even more security invest in a nice VPN like Hidemyass or similar.
DMT is super intense. It rips souls right out of bodies. It induces ego deaths. It does so much more. It is so much more. When one does DMT, one is typically left with a dilemma: Everything has changed, yet nothing is different. Just thinking and reading about DMT is super intense.
So, we talk about it,

.
Again, welcome to the Nexus.
Warm Regards,
Pandora
