Death&Decay
Rising Star
I think a lot of people are quick to say "it's just a drug" or "your experiencing the chemical side effect" and so on... But they don't really take the time to grasp what that actually means. Sure, it's a chemical reaction our brains have to this drug, just as our stable reality is our brains interaction with serotonin. The drug, chemical, thingy-magig or whatever that is altering our perception is nothing more than a key... The drug itself won't answer this question, because the reality isn't held within the drug, but the experience it allows one to enter.
And let's just say I am wrong, and all your imagination is directly the interaction of the drug molecule... Well, still a big friggen mystery because as it stands, we really don't understand these drugs/chemicals. I mean, sure we can make them, we can measure them, we understand that drug a reacts to receptor b in x way... We know it all... Or maybe not. Maybe, the part they forgot to mention is that beyond what we can measure and understand, which is only a small minute fraction of what is there, is a universe of mysteries. I mean, when it all boils down, we really don't know shit, and anyone who tries to write it off as just an effect is really, really, extremely ignorant.
I can't stress enough the importance of not letting what you think you know stop you from experiencing what is behind the door...
