Is this mescaline acetate?

Hello

I've followed 69ron's non toxic limonene mescaline extraction to the letter and ended up with this from the first vinegar pull. Can anyone tell me if this is acetate or just evaporated orange oil? I know the oil is non toxic, but I would like it confirmed before I decide if I want to eat it.

If you followed the tek to the letter, there shouldn't be any limonene there. Even a few drops wouldn't have left that much residue, so odds are it's good.

That looks exactly like impure mescaline acetate.

The results vary depending on the cactus used. In some cases you’ll get nice clean white mescaline acetate crystals will small blotches of sticky sedating amber alkaloids. In your picture I can see a lot of the sedating sticky alkaloids are present. They will never dry to a hard consistency, but will eventually dry to a very waxy texture. Scrape it a little and dry it some more. They can be removed by washing with cold MEK, leaving behind pretty pure mescaline acetate.

I used San Pedro cactus 100 grams of. I would give the wash with MEK a go, but as far as I know, this isn't available to buy in the UK.

Can you recommend a dosage amount for a first timer. I was thinking of going for 80mg just to ease myself into it, mescaline is completely new to me.

Anything less than 100 mg is a good starting point. It will either be a very pleasant light trip or do nothing if you’re a “hard head”. SWIM can feel the effects of as little as 50 mg. It’s fantastic. Some people need a lot more though.

I believe in taking a very small dose first whenever trying any new entheogen. You never know how sensitive you are or how you will react. While SWIM finds mescaline to be one of the most pleasant psychedelic experiences there is, some people get uncomfortable speedy reactions to it and don’t like it. But at 100 mg or less, that will not be a problem for anyone, I believe.
