[Just Say Know]

This, my lovely nexians is my dream journal. I absolutely love dreaming, especially lucid dreaming. recently i have gotten the opportunity to begin regular nightly ingestion of Calea Zachatechichi, one of the most famous dream herbs out there!

With this said, the dream journal log will be for sharing any interesting dreams i have and wish to share with the community here. it is by no means a complete dream journal and it may not be regularly updated (only when an interesting dream pops up). I will try (and probably fail to a degree) to accurately paint a picture of the dream-scape and what happens. i have to warn you though, i have some VERY bizarre dreams! some of which can be extremely CREEPY and at times down right terrifying. i may not even be able to describe some of the things that happen just because when i go unconscious sometimes things happen that are nowhere near to how reality happens and are almost inexpiable or imaginable.


I hope that i can update this soon. For now i suppose we all wait

Very nice, indeed! I'm looking forward to reading more. Dreams are inexplicably interesting. A part of all humans yet little is understood as to why we have them and what their true purpose is.

dreams are underrated we've all tripped while sleeping, when you start to remember them you realize how psychedelic they are.

heres on of my weird dreams i can remember lol.

im in a crowd of people, there are world leaders everywhere, and even ghandi is there lol, theres some sort of conflict and an argument starts and ghandi comes out of nowhere and raises both hands up, smiles and starts twisting them back and forth (like how you clap for deaf people) and all of a sudden there is love everywhere and we all start doing the same thing. at this point it feels like a really good shroom trip. then suddenly my vision is magnified about 100 metres away to Gaddafi and before it even happened i knew he was going to get shot in the head for some reason, boom he dies, then my vision is catapulted to some other leader (i dont remember who this one was) but down he goes too. it seems there is a sniper, i run for cover inside a building. everyone disappears and i am in a third person shooter using a controller to go into the room and kill this sniper, i successfully shoot and kill him, i go downstairs and a female walks in and the hall gets really narrow and far, it gets dark and the lights start blinking, she starts disappearing and reappearing down the hall (like in a scary movie), i tell her not to go inside but she doesnt even notice me, she seems possessed so i open a door to leave quickly, and theres the sniper that i had just killed, i shut the door and run, jump out a window but hes too fast and i just freeze helplessly. all of a sudden im at a gate in the middle of a desert and i have to keep others out of this gate. i summon pigs to fight for me. then i woke up

For a long time, I lived in darkness. My days were filled with nothingness, my nights were filled with nothingness. I never saw a single dream, not one dream. My reality was the dream, a nightmare with a silver lining. During that time, I forgot almost everything I had ever known, everything I had ever learned. I was a scared child and if I had been completely alone I wouldn't have survived. I even forgot about the existence of psychedelics! Can you believe it? How can you forget something like that after you've travelled beyond the veil of time, space and reality? But in those times, I forgot. My existence was reduced to a single point in time, repeating ad nauseam. Time was moving, I wasn't moving with it. Then I had a dream in my sleep. Just one. It was a normal dream, a kinder reflection of the existence I was suffering, highlighting the silver lining. Then circumstances changed. I remembered things, some things I had forgotten for good. I had another dream in my sleep. Then I went on a trip with the help of a plant. I had a third dream, when I woke up I only remembered colours. I don't think the dream contained anything else.

I'm still not dreaming at night. Whether I wake up abruptly or slowly, there's never anything to remember. No feelings, no images. I'm not sure why.

Maybe it's because I'm convinced beyond belief that this reality is a dream? Of course you can dream within a dream (and I have), but I can't think of another reason why I don't dream.

I'd like to dream within a dream! I will see what the mushrooms will tell me, what they will gift me. If I still have no dreams and there's no reason for me not to dream, then I'll try this herb from Mexico. Maybe it will give me dreams

Even though I don't dream at night, I day dream, but my day dreams are more real than the reality around me, but I only see them when I close my eyes. They are the reality that is getting stronger, I have to hold on to this one and still it's slipping away. I know why, I'm not worried! But... if I could dream of the things in my day dreams at night, I could feel and smell and hear and touch that reality... I wonder if there's a reason I can't do that yet.
...Oh, I know the reason, I understand... I have to stay grounded here, if I were there every night, I would never want to be back here, I would let all of this dream slip away...

so i really loved the replies in this thread. ESPECIALLY amandanita (not trying to play favorites, but frankly i just smiled as i read their insights. i will reply to everyone shortly, but i'd like to speculate and share some of the dreams i've had as well as talk about what i think dreaming's purpose is)

purple time. okay, so there is a particular dream i'm seeking: the mystical dreams. almost everytime i "lucid" lucid dream, i find that i go on a mystical experience. usually this is a true "journey". it's incredible because of how the dream-scape differs greatly from all other scapes of reality. many of my dreams have misshapeness and weirdness in it, they sometimes can last a rather long time (although time perception is rather unusual), and i find that my dreams are incredibly dense with information and processing images and being within some kind of "universe". i sometimes wonder about the multiverse theory. what if dreaming is designed to function as another portal to another dimension. i greatly believe that consciousness's purpose is to evolve into something more advanced; progress. i also believe that "progress" is on an emotional, social, political, socio-economic, spiritual, psychological, intellectual, and academic aspect. all of these facet's of humanity is on some level, a consciousness experience. furthermore i believe dreaming to be a consciousness experience of growing and developing as a person; as time passes you pass with it in who you are, essentially speaking.

. sometimes when i first began lucid dreaming i would pass the realm of the nonordinary, the magical circle of adventure, the other world. i believe this world's belief is to constantly grow and expand as a concept. i also believe that if the multiverse theory were true that each multiverse would too constantly develope into something else. i believe that change is a great part of it. when i imagine other dimensions i think of a world that isn't quite "right" or a world that has it's flaws. i think of the fact that too those worlds have obstacles but also change. this is merely speculation but i like to think of it. i will save multidimensional theory for a different topic sometime in the future!

anyways here's a dream i had.

I've been dreaming about a friend occasionally. i no longer speak to this friend but sometimes i do end up dreaming about them. i remember they were a part of the dream. it's been a while so i don't remember all of it. but i remember in this dream i got into a fight with a friend over jelousy (representing conflict), i talked to a wise banjo playing entity who passed along good life advice (representing wisdom), i met death. there was a dresser-desk blocking the door and i could see his feet in the door. then i went to the door to greet him, feeling that if i act friendfully he would do so too. so i open the door (part of it is visible to the outside from the sight from the bed i was laying on that which had little details to focus on) and as i crouched outside and stood up "death" instantly held me still and i felt petrified. i later "woke up" in my bed, still dreaming and began using reality checks (plugging nose and breathing, pulling fingers, double taking at words and seeing if they change (dream herbs sometimes reduce this phenomena, just to warn anyone)) to realize that i was dreaming.

so then i think i woke up. and that's this journals first dream, i forget what date it was. i don't write dates in my hand written journal. in fact, my handwritten journal is rather boring because i just write the bare minimum. but i'm starting to think that writting down more detail and using quality over quantity is fairly better. or perhaps writting two versions, one that is basically the dream journal's "minimum viable product" and one that is more detailed and speculated upon.

amandanita, try some of the other dream herbs too, silene capensis, entanda rheedi. also celestrus seed or oil taken before bedtime might increase recall. also i so far haven't gotten amazing results with Calea, and i know that Silene Capensis takes a long time to begin working (you have to ingest it regularly for a while so that it builds up into your system/the active alkaloids slowly cross the blood-brain barrier. Also you want to eliminate distractions in the morning so that you can keep your eyes closed and think about what you dreamed of. also some people just have poor dream recall naturally. you may be one of those people who simply don't remember your dreams. dream herbs might help, not sure. Godzy, i completely agree! dreams care underated greatly! dreams are... amazing and profound! they can even be used to contact each other, scenario things (may take a very high level of lucidity), insight, creativity, inspiration, simulation, and virtually anything!!! and i do not over-exaggerate!

to everyone else, i hope to update this more on very recent dreams (hopefully tonight)

so far Calea hasn't allowed me to achieve the state i was hoping for, although it could be that i don't remember the dream. so far i haven't remembered much unfortunately. i will continue using calea.

IMO I think trips = conscious dreams

Try this Calea Zacatechichi + Mugwort + Blue Lotus tea before you go to bed your dream recall will be enhanced tremendously. Usually by the third day or so.

Thank you for the recommendations (and the wishes), I'll read up on those herbs.

I wasn't born this way. A long time ago, I used to remember all my dreams. I even achieved lucid dreaming. My life has changed so much it feels more like a series of different lives and I can barely hold on to the memories of this one (though if I'm honest, I'm not really trying hard. I have so much more to fill my mind with!) I just know I used to remember my dreams... But the last two times I dreamt y dreams were like pale echoes of dreams. I have a feeling my dreams used to be much more vivid. The last two times, even after the LSA trip, the dreams were... more dilute, less vivid than my reality awake? I can't remember the dreams I saw all that time ago, but I know they were more vivid... Then I stopped dreaming (years ago). I wonder if I even dream or if my eyes just move rapidly without images. If I saw dreams, shouldn't there be emotions? When I'm awake, I cry and laugh and smile often. I haven't woken up feeling anything but tired or rested in years. It's like my emotions get wiped out, my mind emptied of all images and thoughts and emotions and when I wake up it's like starting a computer. There are no remnants, everything starts from zero. When I wake up, my heart rate is always the same, I breath slowly and calmly, I never feel anything. I don't... I don't know if I mind it? I don't mind it I think, but I'd like to be able to dream every night so I could at least visit places even if it's not yet time to stay longer I'll see if the mushrooms help, then I'll see about the herbs. I hope they'll work!

so i experienced my first re-callable Lucid Dream from Calea. Here's what i wrote in my journal, suprisingly i payed much more attention to detail. also just a bit of a warning, the events most likely didn't occur in the order i've described them but i did get most the details down really well.

"I remember dreaming very vividly, the visual details apeared to be "sharpened" and greatly enhanced I remember around the start of the dream i was in school and i remember in this dream that I had quite a few conflicts (various bitter and malicious entities).

I generally remember being with my cousin and being at a person's house of which whom was being very rude and mean to me. I wanted to leave and "go off on her" but my cousin gave me advice (that i should say less because she'll feed from my negative energy i'm projecting to her, though he phrased it much different).

In another Part of this dream I remember being in my house and there was a kitten-like entity that was malicious (it kept biting me. when i held it by it's neck-fur (in the dream it was more like it's head) and i remember it was very quick and difficult to manage.

I remember facing a moment in the dream where my embodiment of the "bad me" came out(i specifically say "bad" or "malicious" rather than "dark" or "negative". i think this part represented the violent tendency i have on a deeper and more evolutionary level as a human being rather than portraying how i would actually act to this situation. in my dreams alot of odd things can happen that are greatly out of character). i assaulted the kitten-entity with a feeling of defensiveness and guilt. Later i threw him/her outside (not like "threw" violently but just placed it outside). during the time i took him outside i remember quickly traveling to a third person view of the house by "gliding" there.

Then i went back inside and i talked to my dad for a bit. I remember not understanding a few replies (in the drean i suspected that his dimentia was getting worse and he was becoming more coherent) but for the most part the majority of the conversation seemed realistic and understandable. I do remember saying "did you know this is a dream?" and he replied with "no it's not." and i asked "then what is it?" and he told me "Its another dream" smiling.

This version of my dad had a job, was more emotional and expressive, and could probably do anything because dreams man!

I remember somewhere in this dream that i had looked at some reality-questioning and interesting article titles (it just came in front of my view, i think on a digital screen of some kind. don't really remember particularly) (I assumed it was a waste to read in dreams, maybe i'm missing out?! but basically i figured the text would change as i read it (which is my previous experience. although i hear calea helps stop that phenomena, there's a specific name for it but i don't remember)

I remember trying to send a psychic dream message to a friend, finding a group of centers that dealt with malicious pets/entities, super-sprinting down an empty road where the background environment was very engaging and interesting. I think that's as concise as i can remember for now...

Through out the dream i would plug my nose and breathe through it (reality check, in a dream you should still breath but in reality you shouldn't be able to breath because your nose is plugged) when i was unsure if i was still in a dream (due to false awakes). Also the dream was at night, however in many night and darkness dreams the dark just brings an "atmosphere" to the environment rather than obscuring it from sight. i've also experienced pitch-dark environments in other dreams but not in this one particularly. "

so i forgot to write down one part that involved an outbreak similar to the zombie virus, but a bit different. the details were a little bit fuzzy but i do find that there were people who were immune and i remember the enironment was unsanitary.

anyways, i found that through using less calea (just a small bong-bowl) before bedtime that i could recall the dreams i had much more effectively! the other times i would smoke out of the same small bong-bowl (and one time a joint, as well as simply ingesting straight plant matter (caused a slight sensation of choking as it slid down my throat)) but i would smoke around 2-4 bowls. smoking just one seems to be quite effective. I strongly think that when i take higher doses i achieve such a high level of lucidity that i have a harder time remembering (or maybe it just took a while for it to get into my system. idk)

i'll have to try this sometimes!!! but i'll probably use each herb seperately before mixing them, just to get an idea of their effects on my dreams. The Blue Lotus will just help me relax right? or do you find that it can help increase lucidity too? i know that mugwort, motherwort, and calea are all dream herbs (you should add in some motherwort btw. i think mugwort and motherwort contain the same alkaloids but in different ratio's. not really sure to be honest)

ohh also i think that's an interesting way to look at tripping. i don't know if i agree, mostly because i find my trips are very different from the dreaming realm but i never know, i'm also not super experienced either (just mild experience really). i think it's definitely a great analogy to describe it. i guess i just think there's some things that distinctively sepearate dreams from trips.
