Do hallucinations occur due to lack of oxygen in the brain?
I recently hear this from a jar head (a marine).

If someone is trying to tell you that you trip off DMT, LSD etc from lack of oxygen tell them they dont know what the hell they are talking about and they shouldn't talk of things they know nothing about.
well, pcp and meth are also different than oxygen deprivation. Each group of hallucinogens or psychedelics effects different neurochemical pathways and balances and whatnot. That's why the different families like tryptamines and phenethelamines have markedly different effects and why some datura species are classified as deliriants...Dimitri-Trance said:Snozz says "HELL YES TO THAT!!!"fractal enchantment said:maybe but thats not why psychedelics cause hallucinations...

Yeah. I figured that hallucinations like pcp work totally different than "experiences" like dmt.
Note that I say "experiences" not hallucinations. People may refer (dmt/psilocybin.ect)to it as a hallucination because its as close as they can get to a delusion like pcp/meth.ect.
As well as calling a mushroom a poison food (even dho its safely/non-toxic...even at high doses were one thinks he is dying or just been poisoned/due to feeling of the ego separating from one-self).
