And here I am just starting with the B+ strain.

Equadorian sounds more fascinating, but from what I've heard, B+ isn't too bad.

Actually, the B+ strain is quite comparable to the Ecuadorian in terms of potency. Additionally, when prepared correctly the B+ strain is by far the highest yielder. My record weight for 1 mushroom (dried) was that of a B+, weighing in at a whopping 13.5 grams.

Yes, if you hit everything on the head as far as temps, humidity, sterilization, brief lighting, you will not be dissapointed with the B+ strain! :shock:

Well its been about day five, and the update on SWIMS couple cakes:

-Both are showing knotting all around, and little dark brown bumps (pins SWIM thinks)are starting to appear..not many but there are a few scattered all around on the cake.

-The blue areas haven't gotten any worse or grown into anything as of yet. And just thought SWIM would test those bluish areas with a q tip, annndd...nothing came off on the q tip. :d

Thats awesome Flux! SWIM is still waiting for his two cakes!. It's been about 6 days and SWIM thinks they are pinning/knotting. There was some blue on the cakes, and SWIM tested it with a q tip and nothing had came off on the q tip. So guessing its just a waiting game.

SWIM has his FC set at 75 deg/99% humidity. Thats what SWIM heard should be used to induce pinning. Then bring it up between 80-85 to induce fruiting of the pins?

Heres an update on day 5-6 of pics of my two brf cakes in my PMP fruiting chamber.. Does this look alright thus far for the amount of days its been in the FC?

SWIM actually decided to take them out, and dunk and roll them and then place them back in the chamber. I've seen the dunk and roll method and it seems to be a night and day difference in pin formation, and yields. So i'm going to dunk the 2 cakes over night and then in the a.m. i am going to roll them in baked/pre sterile vermiculite, then place them back in the FC.

Well folks! After the beginning of this thread you saw pics of SWIMS cakes and how they were just put in the fruiting chamber. This is SWIMS first grow ever and after about 3 1/2 weeks from the time they got put in the chamber here is some updates like SWIM promised!!

No your definitely not hijacking the thread. But thanks for the best wishes! SWIM actually checked his this morning and they got quite a bit bigger! SWIMS got quite a few strains to try:

They're coming along, more pins are arriving, and they are growing pretty fast, this is from this morning when a FOAF woke up.

And this is the other cake that just had pins yesterday and now they are starting to go! And there are pins growing on the other side that cant be seen.

Thanks for stopping in to check! Yeah some states can suck for sure! Hopefully one day you'll get to do some mycology of your own.

I just hope that one big guy in the picture doesnt break off. It kind of sucks because SWIMS tub is clear but the lid is opaque. So they are kind of growing out and not up lol. SWIM will have to fix the lid.
