Looking for an efficient route to IPA extraction from fresh material

In the end, it seems that the problem was that my yield has been much, much higher this time (a good problem to have!). Dissolving that residue in water and cleaning with IPA for a second time was enough to get a clear residue and more resin from evaporating the IPA.

I think my technique may be improving, because the cuttings in this batch weren't that much bigger, and I have extracted more resin from them than from all my extractions to this date combined. So I assume I was being very inefficient initially, as I have been seeing my yields progressively get higher.

Unpopular opinion. Long boils are entirely unnecessary and you can have full activity with a fast 30-40 minute boil.

I have experimented a bunch with 12 hour books, 30 minute boils etc. I just do short cooks now because I don’t notice a difference other than longer boils = more sickness.

Some people have resorted to juicing cactus.

I just reduce the tea, base it and pull with hot iso.
So you are just doing 30minuts boils, simmering? With frozen material or raw? I see everywhere it need 4-5h so I'm curious :)
Thanks!
