Making 10x leaf

Migrated topic.
Thanks for the response Dorge!

Would it be ok to run tne crock pot on high? Would the harmalas withstand tne heat? I may try the pyrex dish in the frying pan too, great idea!

Bg the way i'm doing a 10x extraction on 28g. So for 10x I should evap the juice onto about 2.8g of leaf right?

Yeah you can do it on high. Just becareful not to burn the end product so you going to have to keep an eye on it the whole time. That ratio sounds about right.

great thread, if i would have found this a few weeks ago i would have 10 less posts. Figured i would bump it up to the top for whoever might need it.

Peace

Yeah it pretty simple stuff.
People get in their own way to much and try to over think stuff. Making changa is simple simple work. Soak 100gms of caapi in ethanol. Evap in a rice cooker or crock pot with a gm of smoking mix, caapi or otherwise. Take that and evap with some more ethanol with a gm of spice in a small Pyrex bowl or what ever works with a slight heat source... Dehydrator works good. Then smoke.... Ethanol can be used in every part of the process outside of your dmt extraction.
There's no need to do anything else... This is simple...'so simple.... Add some flower petals to it for color and spirit after it drys....

what would be a better solvent for me to dissolve my spice in before i infuse it into my caapi leaves, Acetone or 99% IPA?

Probably IPA. but I wouldn't use either of them... I would just use some 180, 190 proof ethanol and leave it at that.

Dorge, in your last post you said 100 gms caapi for a gram of smoking mixture/spice...
...presumably you meant to say 10 gms?

A liquor store would be a better place to look. It's usually referred to "PGA" (Pure Grain Alcohol) or Everclear. If I recall correctly, it's 96.4% ethanol in many states, a bit less in others and not for sale in some. Then again, I don't know what the regulations are regarding alcohol in the outskirts of hyperspace, so I guess this might not be helpful to you. Ethanol isn't quite as fragrant as acetone or IPA and it evaporates pretty quickly.

Plus, if you want to get drunk very fast, you can take a shot of it without worry.

Good luck to you,
Muad'dib

DON'T drink it unless you know exactly what you have!! Usually there are poisonous additives in ethanol so people don't drink it.

Read this first

Pure ethanol and alcoholic beverages are heavily taxed, but ethanol has many uses that do not involve consumption by humans. To relieve the tax burden on these uses, most jurisdictions waive the tax when an agent has been added to the ethanol to render it unfit to drink. These include bittering agents such as denatonium benzoate and toxins such as methanol, naphtha, and pyridine. Products of this kind are called denatured alcohol.

my wife says the state we live in does not sell everclear, so 99% ipa it was. Although out and about today at a hardware store or pharmacy i think i saw a bottle called denaturated alchohol?? I'll keeps an eye out from now on though.

Thanks for the help
