Making a tincture from a crude 5x extract?

Hi there fellow nexians and salvianauts,

I'm just posing a question in regards to making a tincture from a crude home made 5x extract. After finding that I am quite the salvia soft head and can get to where I want easily off of plain leaf, I have a crude 5x extract collecting dust that I don't think I'll need to partake in and want to see if I can salvage it and make a decent tincture with it...

I did a forum search and came across a few threads that had the general consensus that a standardised extract won't work so well as a good tincture needs the other plant fat and terpenoids to aid in proper absorption but I couldn't find anything concrete about making tincture from crude extracts.

My extract was made with a week long soak in acetone so I have a good feeling that it is fairly full spectrum extract as from what I can gather, acetone is a very good solvent and will pull across the majority of plant fats, etc. Would a good week long soak of my crude 5x in 95% ethanol pull out all the goodies again to make a good working and absorbing tincture or would it be a waste of material?

Yeah, I've read tincture is a great way to store the molecule. I made some tincture when I first got a decent amount of dried plain leaf. It is effective too because I left the plain leaf in 95% grain alcohol for a good few weeks so probably pulled a lot of extra plant fats which help with buccal absorption.

I loved the tincture experience and slowed down speed and want to make more tincture and figured I won't smoke the crude 5X extract I made a while back because plain leaf takes me far enough as it is, so was wondering if the crude 5X soaked in 95% grain alcohol would work to extract all the goodies back out of the extract into a tincture?
