Man falls out of window on salvia

Wow.

I wonder if he had a negative reaction (chemically that is). I've never seen anyone get up like that while on salvia. I have to think that there may have been a serious negative reaction in the brain.

Are you serious? I have seen several people get up and try to walk around and do stuff under the influence of salvia. It's really common. In a traditional setting the person ingesting the salvia sits between two people who can stop them from getting up. I've heard this wandering referred to as "the bolt factor". I think it's a good name for the phenomena. I have a friend who smoked salvia and immediately jumped up and RAN directly into a wall. He got a bloody nose and two black eyes.
I'm not super experienced with salvia, but I think a lot of people are over-dosing. I've been smoking plain leaf lately followed by a tiny amount of 10x. Works great. Easier to titrate.
I have a feeling that the people in this video might not be very smart. It seems like they were shooting for something like this. "Hey let's set up the video camera, do a couple huge bong hits of 90,000,000,000x and see what happens. And let's make sure we do the hits simultaneously, so we can't help each other if something goes wrong."

I also have a feeling the widow thing may have been staged. Probably not, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah, that's why I've never seen anyone get up like that. I've always made sure that whoever I share it with takes an appropriate dose and knows what kind of experience they're in for (which is to say, they have no idea at all). But I've felt like "the responsible one" with this kind of thing, since I'm generally the one that does the research and procures the substances. 20x on your first time? Uh...no. Here's some 5x. You want some more? Alright, here's some more 5x.

Sure, I've gone further with people, and I (foolishly) started off with 20x, but fortunately it was probably more like a "true" 10x, and my mindset was able to keep it...well, not really positive, but certainly not negative. It just kinda...was.

Anyway, I think this video is a great example of why people should always have a trip sitter (until you know your reaction, your substance and yourself well enough that you don't), and why it needs to be seen as part of a spiritual/metaphysical experience, not as "5 minute acid".

On a side note: Why do windows break while leaning against them? I do not believe such windows could be legal in europe. Here, i can run against a window without breaking it.
 
I noticed that one of my posts got deleted, however these 2 people didn't do the Salvia correctly, and because of this an accident happened!- THEIR FAULT: One should have been a sober "sitter".:oops:

-I can imagine this video being used on a MISTER T series, to highlight some of the foolish things that good people accidentally do. However it's videos like this that are making it look bad for all the sensible Salvia users out there. And this isn't portraying Salvia in the good light that this RESPECTWORTHY plant deserves.:roll:

-I'm glad that the poor guy was ok, it could have been a lot worse. I hope that people use this video to learn from, rather than find fault with innocent victimised Sally d! 😉

Indeed, the lesson here is "have a sitter", but people love sensationalism too much. They also say that PCP makes you super strong, cocaine will rot your nasal cavities, and cannabis will make you kill someone.

There's actually a video of some news channel trying to sensationalize salvia by having one of their own people smoke some plain leaf. The guy didn't break through and was able to walk and even talk completely coherently, and was struggling to find a negative symptom to report. If I remember correctly, they even had to cut the segment short because of the lack of symptoms they had been trying to hype up, though it has been a couple of years since I've seen the clip.
 
I think there's a good probability that this was staged. Two reasons:

1) There's simply NO WAY he could do that without cutting himself up QUITE A BIT. AT LEAST his right arm would have to be multiply cut from shoving it through the glass.

2) In that type of window, you would have MANY shards of glass still sticking into the window frame if you had broken and knocked out several pieces. The only way pieces WOULDN'T remain sticking in the frame is if they were each individually pushed out--which COULD HAPPEN, if his exit was so clumsy, etc. But then that AGAIN would have to result in him being cut ALL OVER. And he didn't appear to have a drop of blood on him. That no glass was left remaining stuck in the frame suggests that it was "staged glass" of some sort, and not real glass normally in that type of window.

That type of glass is the WORST in it's ability to cut you from broken shards. From how it broke (and the sounds one could HEAR in the recording--which was probably added in), it was not ANY TYPE of safety glass. Just the slightest touch at any broken point will cut skin and produce blood.

If it was staged is was very well acted, though.

I think it was real, she says right off the bat "we're taking a massive dose of Salvia, let's see what happens". I can spot several moments in that video that are so spot on for a Salvia trip (ie: couple seconds after onset he bust into laughter then immediately feels uncomfortable so he jumps up to look around to see who's there, their voice changed after smoking, etc.) If it was staged then they deserve an Oscar.

But I think this is a horrible video that will be used by the gov't to further ban salvia.
 
Sure 3'rd eye, it was a true video, but one that didn't need posting without first thinking about the way that the "powers that be" may/would interpret it (should they be viewing it...)

I agree with that. Usually you can tell from the acting alone when a video is phoney. This acting is fairly good...

EDIT: Again, from watching him go through the glass (like pushing his hand through it), it's essentially IMPOSSIBLE that he wasn't cut and bloody (and I'm assuming he wasn't, because it seems she would have MENTIONED IT). Now it IS interesting to ask why he didn't BOTHER smearing around some fake blood while he was out of frame. I admit I have no explanation for that--while at the same time they went to the considerable bother of getting "stage glass."

Really, I have to say it again: there's just simply NO CONCEIVABLE WAY he could get out that window without quite a few bleeding cuts. Shards would have to stay connected to the frame, and as he rolled out through that tight space, they would have to cut him.

Yes that was a joke. But I do believe it to be real for the other two reason's mentioned. Can't explain the glass, but I don't care enough to try to either (no offense). I think it was funny but a very irresponsible video, it only provokes and gives ammunition to uncle sam.
 
The wikipedia article has a TON of information about glass. Crap, I never KNEW there were so many variations of architectural glass. Even so, the only kinds of "safety glass" discussed were laminated glass (which has sheets of plastic in it, and breaks into "blankets" ) and tempered glass, which breaks into cube-like pieces. Since the glass in the video was clearly neither tempered or laminated--you ain't gonna do what he did without getting considerably cut up and bloodied.
 
I guess good old Sally D must be looking down on us fighting over wether it was faked or not, at the end of the day it was a funny video, and no one got hurt. I guess Sally D wins , and humans lose,,,:lol:
