Mescaline HCl wash gone wrong???

HI folks I have a mesc question... I USED this tek from phlux- to wash mescaline....

so I evaped the water acetone mix... and this is what i got...
doesnt look too clean...

just in case... I saved the residue, which is an off-white chalky powder


so did i get the impurities and left the mescaline behind? too much yellowish tint

Thats not bad looking. If you read the post it doesnt get it totally clean, but cleaner the more times you perform the cleaning tek. Apparently it is reported you can recrystallize m.hcl in MEK for a purer product, though SWIM would rather precip clean crystals with methanol.

ohh ok thats good to know... mmhhh dont know if I should clean it more... already had a 40% loss in the first wash.... perhaps I can do a "second pull" with more acetone water? gonna try that out

Looks nice in my opinion. You could leave it like that. If you didn't do a 99.9 % IPA wash you could try that to make it more pure. I usually do a final IPA wash after the acetone washes. That leaves me with only slighty lighter mesc than yours and a bunch of purplish crystals of which I still don't know what it is.
