Is there a difference in the mimosa hostillis that’s from South America and the mimosa hostillis that’s from China/Asia???

Never heard of hostillis from Asia. Do you mean Acacia Confusa?

Mimosa Hostillis is found in Mexico and Brazil.

There's only 2 sightings in China that have yet to be verified as Hostillis on iNaturalist, 1 in Fuzhou and 1 in Haikou.

Maybe its Mumosa Hustleius, close enough to take your money, but not enough to extract anything useful out of.
