miomosa + rue ayahuasca

First of all thank you for this amazing forum. there is so much good information in here.

I have some problems and i could't get some answers about my questions.

I have been in Ayahuasca ceremonies so many times ( most probably over 25 times ). My experience was amazing. And I had to move some another country and there is no any ceremonies going on here.

What i did is, I managed to get 500gr powdered mimosa root bark. And i wanted to make my own ayahuasca.

I followed this steps.

150gr mimosa powder
I added 1000ml water + 10 ml apple cider
I kept near boiling heat around 2 hours.
Then i took water from the mud and kept in another container ( using some clothes )
I repeat that 2 times and i had lots of reddish brownish color liquid

and in very low temp, i reduced liquid to around a liter. Then i add few white whites in it to remove tannin and i removed egg whites. I left to cool down.

And 3.5gr rue ( powdered ) + some water + little bit apple cider, i boiled 30 min. ( not too hot ) i used cloth and i took only water and i removed powdered rue seeds from brew.

i was already in ayahuasca died a week and friday night i get ready for the ceremony.

3.5g rue liquid ( i think it was around 50cl ( only liquid ) i had empty stomach. Taste was seriously horrible. after 45 min later, I had 100ml of the ayahuasca that i made. ( i made calculation 150gr mimosa / 1000ml liquid = 15gr mimosa / 100ml liquid

But effect was strange. I kept them in my stomach around 1:30h and i felt just a little bit effect. Then i had one normal cigarette and that was the biggest mistake. ( thats what i was thinking ) then i vomited so badly ( like fire comes out of my mouth )

Then i back to my bed and i started to see very mild effect. Little bit visuals, little bit trip and it last only about 1 hour then trip ended.

My brother ( he had never had ayahuasca before ) also had same amount of mine and his experience was exactly same like mine.

I don't know what mistakes i am making. or what is the main problem here to have very mild effect with such high dose.. ( 15gr mimosa suppose to be quite strong ) My shortest trip was usually 4 to 6 hours. Mostly quite intense and amazing..

I Still have some mimosa powder ( 350gr )

I really want to understand am i doing something wrong while i am making it or my mimosa doesnt have enough dmt in it.

I have no idea what is wrong with my ayahuasca but i really want to have good trip and i want my brother to have good experience with ayahuasca.

I don't have any access to other plants. I was extremely lucky to get this mimosa. I can access rue quite easily but not any other plants. What ever i do, i must deal whit what i have right now..

Just my opinion but I would use more rue since it's already powdered and likely to have lost potency, if you have ever drank whole bean coffee freshly ground there's a huge difference (preferably freshly ground whole rue seeds). Would also use three different and perhaps longer soaks for the rue as well. If that doesn't do the trick then your mimosa was probably bunk.

Thank you very much for reply. I am going to use different pack of rue. Let me see if anything change. When i grind the rue it was quite powdery. I was expecting little bit wet because it's a seed. I don't know maybe rue was quiet old. I am going to get new rue from different supplier and i will try again.

I was afraid to use more than 3.5gr. If i go for 5gr is there any risk ?

Sounds like you did not made mistakes in the brewing.

3.5gr powdered should work like you made it, I would not exceed 4.5 thb.
Potency variance between whole or powdered seeds has never been a describable difference ime.

Wood could be a dud, with normal wood I'd never need to rise above 7 gr wood, good for 140mg representative spice.

It is possible to have the dose stationary parked in the stomach for hours before it gets assimilated, I consider 2 hours quite possible. If you had this happening then the vomit at t+90mins could have lost considerable part of dose. With oral it's uncertain if it's gonna hit soon (say t+45mins) or much longer.

45mins between rue and mimo is long, make that 15 mins or take together.

Great advice thanks Jees.
Most probably tomorrow night is going to be another try with it. I think 100ml was to much to keep it in stomach. Maybe i can have 50 first then hour later another 50 to help me to keep it in my stomach. Just thinking. Is there any tricks for it ? Like eating something ?

Those crude plant extracts have tannins and whatnot that make for a serious stomach challenge. Personally I'm not working with those tea's lately, I always have a purge when taking plant brew tea's. That purge is considered a good thing to happen but can also interfere with dosing. A guy here promoted to filter the liquid as clear as can be (cotton plug in the neck of a funnel) and drink it warm. Haven't tried that so far. I'm afraid as long as you drink plant tea's a purge is around the corner waiting to happen.
Some take lemon balm essential oil to ease the stomach.

And the one purge is not the other: some purges you loose your dose while another purge the dose might as well shoot (partly) into the intestines by the pressure waves, then you've got yourself a real start of the trip right away. With plant brew & oral ROA you are in for some variables along the way.
