Ml and mg?

I'm at the shops looking for a scale. Lowest measurement is ml, are milliliters basically the same as milligrams? Or am I getting too hopeful.

A ml is not a mg. You can find good mg scales for cheap online.

mL is volume.
mG is weight.

Definitely not the same, good thing to ask though!
